I like trains so much! Yes, it’s so cool to sit on these mechanical monsters and watch the scenery along the railroad! It would be great if I could regard driving the train as a job, but unfortunately I won't have this chance again! Thanks for sharing
It's not shaking violently. That's pretty calm and pretty normal. It's called Truck Hunting and often happens on the lead truck because of the traction control system and is amplified by worn rail and/or flanges.
Two questions; 1. Do they have any women driving these big tcoal trains? how long does it take for a engineer togo from a rookie driver to a driver himself? Thanks for a very outstanding video. When they unload this train with the single engine be the lead going back to the mine? How fast was these big trains going? (Mississippi Gufl Coast)
Yes there usually are some women on the railroad. To become and engineer (who drives the train) you have to start out as a Conductor. Once you have a certain amount of seniority then you could possibly be bumped up to be an engineer and be able to go to locomotive engineer training classes.
Unfortunately, the Idaho and Wyoming state legislatures stopped providing funding for the Pioneer in 1997, and SD doesn't have any lines good enough for passenger service, just a maze of agricultural lines inherited from the Rock and Milwaukee Road that are similar to their 1910s-50s appearances.

Now i see why SD70ACE is called thundercabs, because the front Traction Wheel is shaking.
It’s actually because the cab is not isolated making it louder in the cab

This is great. The past (coal) slowly creaking along whilst the future (renewable energy) looms large and majestically over the whole scene.
Coal is clean energy. As the wind turbines stand still😮
Amazing vid! My 1.5yo boy LOVES this!! Pretty sure it relaxes him, thank you for sharing
Thanks airing The outstanding video with magnificent locomotives Endeavors are prominent. Bliss

0:27 WOAH a Union Pacific SD9043mac in 2020? I could've sworn that all of them were retired from active service.
No, they're still around, even if there's a 50+ deadline in the Nampa Yard.
@@AVeryRandomPerson How many are still running?
Awesome Catches dude
cool catches mate
I wished Amtrak trains that go through Wyoming and South Dakota

Well done Spencer. New subscriber here
Did anybody else notice the shaking wheel trucks on the SD30 the first 30 seconds of the video?
NL Yep. Sure caught my eye. Never seen that before.
That thing is getting ready to jump the tracks.
@@dannywilliamson3340 I wonder if a defect detector would catch it. Also you'd think they could feel it in the cab.
SD70* pretty sure that was just a little typo..
@@citxsd70m-2 I just noticed this, yeah big typo
Very good video!
I thought, per Obama, that the coal industry was dead? Nice video, thanks for posting.
0:30 Woah! Is that a sd90mac at the end trailing with a Dash 8 with a leading sd70ace?
The locomotive at the back is indeed an SD90MAC. The unit in front of the SD90 is an SD70M while the SD70ACe is the real leading unit.
0:13 Lots of hunting on 8714.
Where did you set up to film?
where was this shot?
