    My personal 370Z Nismo has arrived...and it is even more than i expected. Sorry - nothing feels dated - i don't mind the CD-Player or the abscence of Apple Car Play. The engine revs and sounds beautiful. The seats, even though made for less tall people, hold you in position. I did not expect how fine the revmatching works. The ride is stiff, but fun sporty. The 2019 Model even has an oil temperature gauge.
    This car is so emotional in motion and looks great in its white coating. The best money i ever spent on a car. 😍

      +es3502012 they wont. Why downfall their flagship, the GT-R by making the Z more powerful? The car has so much more potential than the Skyline but they won't do it cause if they did, who would buy a car 4 times more expensive? Buy the Z and modify it :)

      reason is because this is a young persons car. Teen or 20's person. Chances are they golf and its only for a perspective view given the size of the golf bag to compare to. Golf bags are usually the same size in general. So its a good item to use to compare. Duffle bags and luggage can be used also.

    I love the look of this car!! I have been driving the standard Z in Japan a couple of times (it's on my channel) and I always felt surrounded by a high quality sports car sitting in it, the materials feel awesome the driving experience is noble. The standard Z comes with a really low price in my eyes and it has a real sports car body and is not like a BMW a tuned family sedan. :)
    The nismo is the tuned version of the Z so it's got a cost a little more. I think they really put a lot of extra stuff into it and worked on the design. It's worth the money! :)

  • @blackeastertheguy
    @blackeastertheguy 8 ปีที่แล้ว +19

    A 370Z (non-NISMO) would destroy a brz and Miata on a track, it wouldn't even be close, the z offers the best balance between Turning and power you can get for the price, the base Z is only a few grand more than a Brz and makes it look like a standard passenger car In straight line speed.

    • @Ravens-Nation-34
      @Ravens-Nation-34 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Blake Brink It's a good car, no one is debating that. The two problems that people do not like about this car is 1.the price. I think it would sell more if the price was cut about 4,000$. 2.People want more horsepower. I'm not saying give it 500 horses, but why not give it in the range of 400-450? Only logical reason I can think of is that they don't want to put in range of the GTR.

      @@isaactaylor7296 The Miata is a good car that is fun to drive and is cheaper than the Z, but it really isn't in the same league as the Z. My all-black Z had a 2-stage paint correction and a ceramic coating. The car frequently turns heads when I park it on a street where there are people walking by. I don't see Porsches or Miatas doing that.

    This is one of a kind car... It's way more powerful than a Miata and frs/brz but heavier... It's less powerful than big three muscle cars srt/mustang gt/mustang ss but is still lighter and handles better, all other cars have 4 seats besides the Miata, IMO it's the perfect balance of power, weight and handling, alright after almost 7 years in the market it's time for the next generation, though it's still holding up well, anyway ditch the 47k nismo and get yourself a 32k 370z with the sport package

      +Korrupted When they have a super car killer for less than $200k AUD, they don't need to do shit. the Z is there for marketing purposes.. they wont drop the price or make it more powerful because if they do, why would you buy the R35 GT-R? Buy the Z and turbo it, it'll leave the Skyline in the dust, along with those other "luxury" performance cars.

    What no one seems to get is that the Z is a unique breed all its own. It is the perfect balance between sports coupe and muscle car and need not be categorized or compared to either.
    The 370Z is far more muscular than a Miata and handles much better than any muscle car. Over the last three years, I have owned both a spritely little Miata and a powerhouse SL55 AMG. And now, a 370Z NISMO resides in my garage. The car is plenty fast and powerful, has extremely sporty handling, and in my opinion is uniquely good-looking. It doesn't need to fit into a category or be compared to Miatas and Mustangs. It is exactly what the 'Z' has always been and what it should remain. A breed all its own.

    • @SteveWeltman
      @SteveWeltman 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Different cars and different characters. Miata and FRS are excellent at auto-x but have a lot less acceleration. The 370z Nismo is bigger and heavier but still handles pretty well. You still need about $8K for suspension improvements to make it really handle. I have an infiniti g37 and auto-x so I'd consider the two cars in different situations. 370z more touring, less canyons (stock). BRZ/FRS or Miata great for canyons, and not as much for daily commuting or long trips (but it can be done).

    I bought an all-black 2019 370Z sport coupe 6MT and love the car. I think it is a better buy than the Nismo and is a good competitor to the Porsche Cayman S, at a much lower price. The car is made entirely in Japan with a fit and finish that are superb, much better than the Mustang GT that I once looked at. My upgrades so far are a 2-step paint correction with ceramic coating, stiffer Hotchkis sway bars and braided stainless-steel Teflon core brake lines. I have owned a MGB, an Austin Healey and a Porsche 944S but my Z is the best sports car I have ever had. My only complaint is that I wish Nissan could have shaved off a little more weight from the car when they designed it, although it does a good job in handling the weight it has.

I couldn't be happier with my 370z. Unfortunately, we can't get the Nismo variant here in Australia, so yes I've made modifications to my car; exhaust, air intake, gear ratio, extractors, fuel injectors and a tune to get a little more out of it, but for a RWD car to handle the way it does, and to turn heads the way it does, it's nothing to have low expectations out of.

    I agree when he speaks on value and pricing. But the Z is extremely visceral. it gives a unique unmistakably aggressive driving experience and you feel just as connected to the road a a BRZ. The BRZ is more graceful in the corners cuz it lacks 132HP and 119lbs of torque.
    The Z is a better car overall than the BRZ or Miata. That said, pricing is about $6000 off in the Nismo and it's the only reason to look elsewhere. it's just not justifiable anymore in terms of investment value.

    wow, that's a brutally honest review. Nissan competes with legends like Cayman and 5L Mustang, that's a hard market to compete. Toyota and Subaru were very clever with what they did there. they also added fake rear seats to kill Miata.

  • @aufan1000
    @aufan1000 8 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    I like the Z, but they have to start giving another power option. They do not have to give it so much power as to peel off GTR sales, but a nice 450+hp to make it more competitive to the base Vette. Right now this car is not any faster than a Dodge Challenger RT that weights 4400 pounds and you have the new Mustang GT350 that can put this Nismo down on the track or drag strip for the same price. I do not have a problem with the Z's weight, it is just its power. They have barely pushed the envelope since the 2003 350z that came out thirteen years ago in regards to power.

    Agree on the conclusion, although suspect using Miata or FRS as examples for why there is so much more does not quite hit the spot on value for money performance.

  • @Emp3rorD4v1d

    The problem with the Z is its interior is slightly lacking, and its lacking the hp amd torque to compete against the 3 pony cars. To boost Z sales, nissan should quit being bitches and bump up the mext generation's gtr to 600 hp base. That way they can boost the next gen Z's hp to 400 base and boost it's sales without eating the gtr's. I really belive a boost in power for the Z would do it wonders on the market since it already has the handling and maneuverability down.

      interior is more like...very lacking. HP and torque is like whatevers unless you track, its enough to have good fun and go on roads, ull almost never full throttle regardless unless open canyons but even then going less fast doesnt mean no fun.

      @izzyiz810 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The Z I feel isn't as under powered as people may think. they real problem is it's about 300lbs overweight and the interior lacks dramatically at this point. Nissan should have done more for the interior.
      I'm hoping to see a 3,000lb Z with the Q60 engines. That would be ideal. But I doubt we'll get what we want.

    If they sold this car for under 40 grand new, it would sell better. You can buy a new base 370z for about 27 grand. That's a lot more sports car for the money than you get with an FR-S/BRZ. I owned a 300zx and 2 350z's, and they were all great cars. That being said, I would like to see the Z get a little smaller and lighter. My first "Z" experience was in my uncle's '74 260z, so I know what the original cars were like. Something at right about 3000lbs with Nissan/Infiniti's new twin turbo 3 liter V6 would be amazing... as long as they don't screw up the styling. I'm not a fan of Nissan's most recent designs.

    Nice Test...but..the comparisons do not function. I own a 2017 Miata as well as a 2019 370Z Nismo. Each car has its very own character and - lets be honest - you have to stay self confident as a male Miata driver. The Nismo is an oldschool sportscar and very much respected as the last naturally aspirated, rear wheel driven V6. A collectable.

    i went from a 350z tuned to a 2012 gt500 with some basic bolt ons pushing about 590 rwhp when i dicided i wanted a new car my options were these : corvette c7 , challenger hellcat, porsche 911 , and a nismo 370z, gtr regular edition.
    I was driving a car with some what high horsepower and low mpg so i went with the 370z because down the road i can spend $7000 dollars and the nismo will easily have close performance to the other options i was looking also i tought that the nismo looked some how sexy and sporty were as the corvette was to big for me so i trade it my gt500 for a used 2011 nismo because i like better the older one than the new nismo and im planing on going forced induction and im very happy with my nismo.

    Also something else to think about comparing the Z to other cars like a Miata/BRZ/Mustang/Camaro is the actual production numbers. Over the past few years since the change to a 370 from 350 the production numbers & import #'s were cut back. There are only 1500ish 370z's imported to the US every year. That is thru all the models and colors. (There was only 13 Black Touring Sports imported like mine in 2014) Go compare that to how many BRZ/Miata's/Mustangs/Camaro's are being made each year. There were 5000ish 350Z's imported a year before. Also to find out what the new Z is going to get all you have to do is look for what the Infinity G car gets. Like the 300+hp twin turbo.........

    • @shoryukenpower
      @shoryukenpower 8 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      +John Walsh just feels that way because the car is lighter and lower powered so you're pushing it to the limit even on low speed corners. on the stock narrow tires you lose grip quickly but on wide tires the lack of power is amplified. the 350 would achieve a higher speed entering the corner, have higher grip in the corner, and accelerate harder out of the corner.

    • @Quadcameverytime
      @Quadcameverytime 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +John Walsh The later 350 & 370Z's have a totally different floor pan, body and engine, way faster and better handling than the 2004 models. The use of some aluminium panels gives it an almost 50/50 weight distribution.

    Haven't been able to find any reviewer on youtube who likes the FRS better than the Z. If anything they seem to agree the FRS just isn't as responsive...most seem to really dislike it - period. That having been said, what besides the size don't you like?Mazda MX-5 may be cheaper, but at what cost to safety? You need to supply more information about how it was designed to accomplish it's market niche - not write it off bc there are cheaper cars that pretend to do what the Z does.
