Meiji Shrine After a Typhoon | Working Remote Season 2 | Episode 3

Because Typhoon Hagibis passed us late at night we had no idea what the next day would bring.
How would Tokyo have fared after this typhoon? Would the trains be running? Would any sights be open?
As we headed out for the day we were filled with a sense of excitement to finally be back in Japan and walking the streets of Tokyo, but also with a sense of trepidation. As we neared Ikebukuro Station we had no idea if we’d actually be able to get to where we wanted to go.

We’d recommend the Airbnb unit that we stayed in. It is clean, comfortable and has all the amenities needed. It is also located in a great neighbourhood with lots restaurants and shops very close by, along with 2 train stations 5-10 minutes away by foot. Best part is the host who is helpful and courteous and genuinely wanted to make sure we enjoyed our stay in her unit.

Love the Meiji Shrine and surrounding park areas. My wife and I happened to be there during the Shichi Go San celebration in November. Young children are attired up in traditional dress and it's really special to see. Thanks for sharing your adventure as always... Hope to see you feeling better in the next episode; Nicole might take the camera for good if not. :)
