I have been to Rock City countless times since I was a small child, and I love seeing everything from your perspective! You captured such beautiful footage too. And I love all of your comments, observations, and enthusiasm :)
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you for your open-minded attitude towards Southerners! Glad you enjoyed Rock City (in Tennessee, by the way). Your videos just keep getting better and better!
If anyone didn't know at 20:09 when he says "as above so below" it is a reference to a movie about the Paris catacombs and people getting lost in them.
Thanks for sharing Rock City with us. Wow...how beautiful. I love this sort of place. So sad you have to leave Tyler behind. Good you shared some time together though. Have a safe rest of your journey home.
Totally agree with what you said towards the end of the vid. Totally appreciate these videos as they are my outlet to travel for the time being. Thank you so much for sharing and continuing to share, Justin.
Thanks for the recommendation! I'm from Nashville TN and was looking for something to do last weekend so we decided to take a quick road trip to Rock City... We loved it! The whole place is also pet friendly so my dog Bailey got to join us too! Thanks for all the videos you do.
The BEST! I LOVE this.Would never have otherwise heard of it nor gotten to see it if not for you.A huge thank you for that and the unexpected laughs! Thank you, again
thank you for making that whole last point. the whole i was watching this video I was thinking "wow, this probably totally goes against people's bias against Georgia and South." can't wait to see where you go next.
you keep me laughing hysterically....it was hilarious when you told that man and woman whom I am assuming are complete strangers, that you walked to the edge with so much pride!!! LOL!!! Safe travels my friend...
oh man that place looks AMAZING! I'm so glad you went there and shared it with us! thank you! I had to watch the end three times when Tyler sees the gnome patch because it made me laugh every time.
Wonderful vlog!!!! Just when you think you've seen it all! There is simply Gnome place like Rock City! I appreciate your bravery, Justin! My own fear of heights knows no bounds.
There is a state park about 85 miles north of old 66 west of Fairview Oklahoma called Gloss Mountains. It's a flat top series of painted desert looking mountains and one of them has stairs MOST of the way up the last 50 or 75 feet though is a RICKETY little hand rail and some kinda flat rocks to get to the very top and I can ASSURE you I was in the same mode as you were at the lovers leap thing except for the fact that on Gloss Mountain there are ZERO hand rails around the top of the mountain and about a 200 foot shear cliff. I did it...once...NEVER again, lol. "You can't see them with your eyes, you see them when your spirit leaves your body when you look over the edge" That has to be the MOST EPIC statement EVER! I love it! This is the best episode so far I have seen of your videos, Thank you for your terror!
That was magical. You're a wonderful commentator and I really dig your sense of humor. I too am afraid of heights and I could feel your anxiety coursing through my body. BRAVA!!!
Dude, I FEEL you. I despise heights. Bravo for doing it! When you're there, you just gotta do it. And I'm sure you feel great knowing you conquered your fear.
So Cool that Tyler lives only about 30 miles from our home in Chattanooga Tennessee and Justin was here in our neck of the woods and visited Rock City!! Enjoy your videos! Keep doing what you do and making us LAUGH!!!!!!!! 😎😎
I know this is an older video, but I loved it. Your videos (and others) have been helping me deal with the Coronavirus lockdown. Thanks! The speech at the end seemed perfect for the times
Thank you so much for showing us this! I have always wanted to go there and know what its like. Now I have an idea of what to expect. And you did great!
The heights nearly did me in. My favorite place was the Fairy Tale Caverns. Loved all the dioramas. It was a beautiful place, but it needed higher guardrails. You and Tyler could be on a talk show/vlog. You have a fantastically clever interaction. Whenever you get homesick, just click your heels together and repeat, There's no place like gnome, there's no place like gnome.... Yeah, I know it's corny. I always look forward to your vlogs!!! 😊
How fun! I hate heights too, you are very brave, glad you survived =) I really like everything you said at the end during the sunset too. And Tyler's sadwomen.com joke had me rolling! :D! Guess your on the road again, I am having the best time and I haven't even left CA! Thanks again for all you do Justin, and keep being safe please, you got lots of people who care for you.
Wow! Thank you for this visit! "I'm alone in a cave!" Never heard of Rock City! Thank goodness you took the rock bridge instead of swinging bridge. Good choice!
Wow! Thanks! I have always wanted to SEE ROCK CITY! Now I don't have to because I can live vicariously through you! Thanks again! It is very beautiful!
This is one of my absolute favorites!! I need to go to Rock City! And luckily, I live in one of the 7 visible states so hopefully it's not too far. Thanks so much for sharing this
So cool! I was there as a kid but the only thing I remember was the swinging bridge . I, too, am terrified of heights 😳. I really enjoyed this. Vid.....and I am truly grateful that none of the creepy figures were animatronic......nobody moved .....or that would up the creepy factor 😱!
Seriously one of the best vlogs ever on ever. Those dioramas remind me a little of Enchanted Forest in Oregon, and I'm just going to keep suggesting it until it happens. Enchanted Forest - The Disneyland of the Northwest! (as I call it)
You should take a road trip up to Oregon sometime. Near Salem Oregon there is an amusement park there called the Enchanted Forest, it's like a mini version of Disneyland. I think you would really like it. You should do a vlog there sometime.
Love that you saw Rock City on Lookout Mt! Supposed to be the birthplace of mini-golf. I went to the college you can see on top of the Mt. Covenant College.
Justin, you have persuaded me to take our little family on trips across America. Most likely they will be state by state lol. Thank you for sharing with the world man!
If you ever happen to visit Tyler in November or December, be sure to go back and check it out. They go all out for Christmas. Adam The Woo was there at Christmas time a couple of years ago. I've lived here all my life, haven't been to Rock City since I was a kid, and this video makes me want to go back and check it out.
Best video ever!! I live in middle Georgia, went up to the top of Lookout Mountain around 1973, didn't get to see anything because it was in January and 5 degrees on top of the mountain, so everything was closed. Thank you for finally taking me there! Do they also still have the Rainbow Caverns tour? Loved it Justin!
You're leaving tomorrow? But... it's Tyler Evans. One does not simply leave Tyler Evans. See if he wants to share some of his writing before you go, or maybe just talk about writing in general. The other day you guys touched on the fact that he took a break from writing. I'd like to know more about that, if he's willing to share.
Congratulations! You are better than I. In the Smoky Mountains I wouldn't go the mile up to the overview point. I was like you on my knees in the parking lot which was high enough.
I went to UTC and never had the chance to visit Rock City. It was great seeing what I missed--even though, I would never be able to cross the bridges or go up to the overlooks that you went to (my whole body clenched up whenever you would go over any of those things--I can't imagine how it would feel to be there myself.) Next time you are in the area, go to Ruby Falls.
that was incredible...except for the lookouts and the waterfall. heights make me violently ill and although I wasn't there I began to get sick just watching. I have no idea how you were able to do that. I would of lost my lunch...I almost did anyway lol. oh ya...CRACK HEAD!...really LOLOL. I have never heard of rock city and I lived in Nashville for 6 years. good one...again.
Great video but you pretty much summed up exactly my internal monologue when it comes to heights. Heights never bothered me until I hit 30 but I can't even watch any "over the edge" vids. That place looks awesome but how is it not littered with dead bodies that fell over all the very short walls going over very long drops. Like seriously a gust of wind, a hard sneeze, catching a crack with your shoe or getting that shaky feeling of CERTAIN DEATH are all that separates you from meeting a rock at great speed.
I know I'm a week late, but you should really see Ruby Falls while you're there. It's very close to Rock City and is an extremely long underground cave system with waterfalls etc, a lot of which done in UV.
Thanks Justin, Through your eyes we get to visit these gems of the America. There is so much to see enough for a channel all to itself.
I have been to Rock City countless times since I was a small child, and I love seeing everything from your perspective! You captured such beautiful footage too. And I love all of your comments, observations, and enthusiasm :)
They built this city! They built this city on rocks and gnomes! :) So cool!
ha ha!
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you for your open-minded attitude towards Southerners! Glad you enjoyed Rock City (in Tennessee, by the way). Your videos just keep getting better and better!
Thanks for taking us on this journey! You had to overcome some fears and I truly appreciate it! What a beautiful place. The diorama's were awesome!
Excellent video. Loved when Justin became philosophical towards the end - he is 100% correct.
If anyone didn't know at 20:09 when he says "as above so below" it is a reference to a movie about the Paris catacombs and people getting lost in them.
Loved your vlog. Would love to visit Rock City one day. Your friendship with Tyler is so heartwarming. Thanks so much for sharing!
Dude, your vlogs are the coolest! They're funny, informative and you add so much enthusiasm to them!
Thanks for sharing Rock City with us. Wow...how beautiful. I love this sort of place. So sad you have to
leave Tyler behind. Good you shared some time together though. Have a safe rest of your journey home.

Finally! Someone who remembers David the Gnome!
Rock City was so beautiful thank you so much for sharing this beautiful place with us Justin 😀
thank you for making that whole last point. the whole i was watching this video I was thinking "wow, this probably totally goes against people's bias against Georgia and South." can't wait to see where you go next.
I had to come back and watch it again! Loved these travel vlogs! Safe journeys home!
As a Californian who moved to Tennessee, I appreciate this. You blindsided me with the philosophical ending. Nice vlog!
Those narrow paths gave me vertigo just sitting in my chair watching & I used to climb crude oil storage tanks every day for a living. Great Video man
you keep me laughing hysterically....it was hilarious when you told that man and woman whom I am assuming are complete strangers, that you walked to the edge with so much pride!!! LOL!!!
Safe travels my friend...
Jewelie Williams made me LOL
Super impressed by the Smeagol impression.
Nailed the Golum impression! It was precious
oh man that place looks AMAZING! I'm so glad you went there and shared it with us! thank you! I had to watch the end three times when Tyler sees the gnome patch because it made me laugh every time.
This is so hilarious. I'm literally cracking up right now. Great content! Found my new favorite TH-cam personality!
What an amazing video. Thanks for sharing your adventures with the rest of us.
Thanks for taking us on this amazing journey you have taken!!
Wonderful vlog!!!! Just when you think you've seen it all! There is simply Gnome place like Rock City! I appreciate your bravery, Justin! My own fear of heights knows no bounds.

that was absolutely incredible Justin, thanks for showing us this place.
This is my favourite video of yours Justin. Bravo! You were a true warrior and it's such an amazing place.
Thank you Justin! I can't travel due to my health and you made me feel like I was right there with you at Rock City! Awesome place. Thank you again!
That was magical. You're a wonderful commentator and I really dig your sense of humor. I too am afraid of heights and I could feel your anxiety coursing through my body. BRAVA!!!

Who remembers the bumper tags with the twist wires that held them on the old school bumpers back in the seventy's .
ugh. i am absolutely terrified of heights. that was veryyyy brave of you . i cannot even get on the roof of my house. seriously.....you killed it!
Thank you so much for showing us this! I have always wanted to go there and know what its like. Now I have an idea of what to expect. And you did great!

So cool! I was there as a kid but the only thing I remember was the swinging bridge . I, too, am terrified of heights 😳. I really enjoyed this. Vid.....and I am truly grateful that none of the creepy figures were animatronic......nobody moved .....or that would up the creepy factor 😱!

YAY Great job Justin! I don't have the issue with heights that you have but some of those bridges would have freaked me out!
glad you took us there because I will never make it back there from west coast, and the heights scare me......safe trip home Justin.....
Seriously one of the best vlogs ever on ever. Those dioramas remind me a little of Enchanted Forest in Oregon, and I'm just going to keep suggesting it until it happens. Enchanted Forest - The Disneyland of the Northwest! (as I call it)
Absolutely amazing. Love! Thank you!
Who would dislike this video??? Gnomes and rocks and irrational fears?? Come on?!!?
You should take a road trip up to Oregon sometime. Near Salem Oregon there is an amusement park there called the Enchanted Forest, it's like a mini version of Disneyland. I think you would really like it. You should do a vlog there sometime.
David the Gnome! That was an awesome show!
One of my fave vlogs! I need to go there!!
That was beautiful! I didn't expect that
David the Gnome! All those old episodes I found here on TH-cam!
Love that you saw Rock City on Lookout Mt! Supposed to be the birthplace of mini-golf. I went to the college you can see on top of the Mt. Covenant College.
Justin, you have persuaded me to take our little family on trips across America. Most likely they will be state by state lol. Thank you for sharing with the world man!
you should really visit the Efteling in the netherlands some time, it has a fairytale forest that you would really like.
Indeed, he needs to visit the Efteling.... 👍🏻
Yeah, I was thinking about that too. They also have an incredible diorama. He would absolutely love that!
Always love watching these videos! Keep it up! Also where did you get that shirt! It's freaking awesome!
this video went from cool, to wierd, to confusing, to unbelievable.
So beautiful, thanks.never heard of this place so I would love to go,who knew?
Rock City, seriously looks like something I'd like to explore. ;),
Did you see the plack that showed the 7 states and which way to look to see them? It was close to where the flags were.
Best video ever!! I live in middle Georgia, went up to the top of Lookout Mountain around 1973, didn't get to see anything because it was in January and 5 degrees on top of the mountain, so everything was closed. I love tiki man! So you seen Rock City--thank god we did not have another 127 hours! You made it! I have got to get a gnome!
Congratulations! You are better than I. In the Smoky Mountains I wouldn't go the mile up to the overview point. I was like you on my knees in the parking lot which was high enough.
Wow, I've never heard of Rock City before! Definitely checking it out if I'm in the area

I love that there was a David the Gnome reference. I loved that show! Tom Bosley!!!!!
that was incredible...except for the lookouts and the waterfall. heights make me violently ill and although I wasn't there I began to get sick just watching. LOL at the cats with santa hats
Laura Schlueter cracked me up!
Justin Scarred: Afraid of bridges, but has no problems with airplanes.

You kept looking over the edge and then backing up fast I thought for sure you were going to go over backwords on other side haha
no no no no no no no no..!!! Just like the Grand Canyon .......too funny ...was waiting to hear Gollum..!!
I'm glad I saw this with you cause I wouldn't fit through those walkways! Lol
i went to rock city as a child this brings back memories

So awesome
Justin! Next time you're near Rock City, you've gotta visit Ruby Falls! It's amazing!
Wow!! Never knew this place existed!! Nice!! This place "Rocks"...lol
Hmmm....The swing-a-long bridge reminds me of The Temple of Doom......"Hey Lady, we go for ride" ;)
Rock City looks really cool!!
I know I'm a week late, but you should really see Ruby Falls while you're there. It's very close to Rock City and is an extremely long underground cave system with waterfalls etc, a lot of which done in UV.
this reminds me, if you're ever in Wisconsin you need-need to see The House On the Rock !
I live in Tennessee and I got to Rock City like every year.
I love Rock City, it’s close to my hometown so I visit a lot
