So many, many did get saved watching the Thief in the Night. Talk about having such a great impact they sure accomplished it with that film. Actually very good to get people to watch it who haven't. Sure one has to set aside the old phones and ways of doings things which watching it but people can still get the general idea and how it'd apply in our day.

I was about the same age when my mother and father made me go to church and watch all 3 on TH-cam night. This was 1976-7, it has been the creepiest, scariest, longest lasting movie fear in my life. Freddie, Jason, Michael, none of those franchises hold a candle to this. I am watching it tonight for the first time since then and it is just as disturbing.and creepy.

You see, when Jesus said what he said in Revelation 3:20, He was saying that to those who were already Disciples--those who already had the Spirit of God living inside of them. Basically, they kept sinning after being saved and were losing God. God was warning them to repent and make Him their true Lord again to be restored.
Basically, what I'm saying is: praying Jesus into your heart is not biblical.
It's not a part of the process of salvation.
"A Thief in the Night" is an entertaining film series with some biblical truths, but one needs to read their Bibles and know what it says so that they don't get led astray.

The words grounded means it's a mental state of having a strong connection of who God is, being grounded being built up or growing in Christ the only way you can grow in christ is by continuously being in his word and sharing his WORD a to others.
The other word, is settled and the word settled means: determined, firmly decided, you're fixed which means that you are firm and secured tightly, you are solid in place and firm. Solid and in place and firm "in the Lord". Which makes you Unwavering and unmovable, not easily being led astray by lies and deceit. You know Paul is always talking about this in Colossians chapter 1, it's in Romans chapter 11 with the fig tree and it's also talking about in the first chapter of Timothy and also 2nd
Timothy. Paul uses different words such as turned aside or put away, or moved away, which means apostacy....
I believe we as Christians will go through the tribulation.
Without the knowledge of his word and the truth of his word in which we stand, it will be very difficult to endure.

I went to a Christian High School. This was shown to my entire Senior religion class before we graduated. We thought it was out dated and funny in part 1. But by the time part 3 was shown to us, we weren’t laughing anymore. It was eye opening. That was over 20 years ago. And now I’m watching the book of Revelations unfold right before my eyes. It’s shocking because I thought that this would be later in time around 2040 or 2050 but it is NOW.
Jesus is at the threshold, it could be any minute.
Sister please..we've been watching it unfold for 2 thousand yrs. (Yeah..He told his followers he'd be back in THEIR lifetime. And generations have put life on hold while they try to see things that could mean all prophecy has been fulfilled ..
Think about that. A group of people holding fast to the belief that this life doesn't matter cuz he'll be here soon, and mankind on earth will be no more. The group passes these beliefs to next generation..and so on for all this time! A cult of death & destruction.

From time to time I find myself watching these movies from when I was a kid. It’s interesting to see now how so much has happened and pastors today do not preach the word they preach what feels good to them and others who don’t want to change. May we wake up and listen before it’s to late.
I remember seeing this when i was young. I only remember parts of it but it scared the crap out of me. It still does thinking this will eventually be the future.
It’s going to be soon too. I just saw where Apple is releasing new “vision” goggles kind of like the VR goggles that have been out the last few years. Amazing how many years ago this movie was made - and now in 2023 we are right on the precipice about to be raptured. I pray that the Lord comes quickly but that as many people as possible can be saved before that blessed day.
It blows my mind how people refuse to believe or see that Bible prophecy is literally being fulfilled and we are near the end. So many won't make it. Yet, they continue to scoff and mock.

Although I was raised the Catholic (going through Catholic grade school) when I was in my junior year of public high school, the 'Jesus Movement' was happening and things like these movies and maybe Bible book stores (which had a lot more than just books in them but told me about the Lord Jesus and his love for me in saving me from my sins AND the wrath of God!) were all I had-- to teach me at the time, about God's saving plan for mankind in sending his only son to be our Savior from our sins. I was about 14 years old in 1972 then...... But a sincere seeker of truth--even that young. I was honestly an agnostic at that point.

*JESUS is COMING SOON!* Around 2 years ago I was out riding my bike along a spot that I'm not too familiar with; I was intently focused on the sidewalk to avoid the pieces of glass, so as to not ride over them. Out of nowhere, I felt that "not home" feeling and didn't like it; as if I am alien to this place. So I started to tell myself *"Well, Jesus is..."* (with me wherever I go) but before I could finish that sentence aloud, my head involuntarily turned to the right and saw a big sign in the grass: "COMING SOON!", thus completing my sentence aloud: "Well, Jesus is *COMING SOON!"*
Quickly I burst into laughter at the timing of this. It was *seamless.* So I went home and called my mother on the phone and told her about it. She quickly said to me: *"That's confirmation!"* - As *soon as she said that,* the memory was brought to my conscious mind that I prayed, *just two days before,* asking the Lord if He really told my mother: *"Soon, child, soon."* bass / baritone range, and cannot scream even close to that pitch in the dream.
I learned later in the day that, just 2 days before my dream, *NY* lit up the *One World Trade* center building *PINK,* _IN CELEBRATION OF_ being able to kill babies in the womb at 9+ months! I was shocked (and disgusted) at how this was the confirmation to my dream. Will we be here to see this? I assumed so, or else I see no other reason why the Lord would show me this dream. With La Palma erupting now, and many have said for decades that if it falls into the ocean, it could cause a tsunami to hit the east coast of the U.S., this might be the tsunami that was shown to me in my dream. Only time will tell, but the timing is amazing. Only a couple of years later this is happening! I believe the tsunami has a connection to the timing of Jesus coming to rapture us out. It could be the sign!

I've been born again since 1996 (at age 17) and my mother has been born again since the early-mid 1970s (her early-mid 20s). We've both had multiple experiences and words from the Lord over the years (about current situations at those times) but *never about anything concerning end times.* Only in the last couple of years did He wake us up to this. Be baptize and receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Finally, start praying, reading, and studying the Holy Bible everyday and live by the the Word of God which is the Bible. If You do this you will grow in the Lord and will walk in God's way. Also if you die you'll go to Heaven. Tomorrow is not promise for anyone. You might die before the rapture. In some ways this movie didn’t age that well. But in other ways, it kinda makes some descent points. It’s like the makers of this movie couldn’t begin to conceive how evil and rebellious a generation could become, or how technology today can oppress life for believers once the world turns it all against us. I could easily evade capture from the incompetent soldiers depicted in this movie. But now! Cameras on every corner, in our homes, perverts in our schools. As in the days of Noah, every thought is evil continuously. This generation that has arisen has invested new perversions that was inconceivable just a few years ago. Sodom and Gamorah couldn’t even conceive! Up is down, good is evil and evil is good. They even rebel against the very nature God has created. Can’t even tell the difference between a man and a woman. Not only do they engage in their sick perversion, they demand we and everyone else condone their wicked lifestyle. Now when I read the 1st chapters of Romans, I read it as prophetic verses. He describes todays generation to a tee.
You are right, many of us could easily resist the soldiers depocted in this film but now they have drones and sattelites, facial recognition etc... We are truly in the last days, one thing is we dont get raptures before the tribulation.

These four old tribulation movies are my favorites. A thief in the night. A distant thunder. Image of the beast. The prodigal planet. Their old movies but far as I’m concerned, they are the best tribulation movies ever made. The sad thing is. They never made the fifth and final part.

And this was right after Peter acknowledged that Jesus was the son of God after being asked by Jesus "who do you say I am?"
Never underestimate this flesh. I'm not saying you will or anyone else will deny him, I'm saying this flesh is going to do what it can to try to save itself. That's why we currently must practice denying ourself whatever we want. Don't indulge in thus flesh because when its time to say no, you have to make sure you'll be able to.

I am in so much pain and I’m so done with this world that I hope the rapture is any second now - or the end of my life. My mind is really fixed on heaven at this point. Pre-trib is NOT biblical. The FIRST thing I look for when I hear a new preacher is if they teach pre-trib. If they do, I'm done because I know all of their teachings will be off.
Here is something I wrote out awhile back. It's long, but only about a 5 minute read. PLEASE do read ALL.
No pre trib. The verses pre-trib "pastors" NEVER read to you.
I am capitalizing words to bring attention to them, but I'm not screaming, except in my spirit for people to wake up.
John, (and also Paul), had a vision, but John was still in prison. He was PRAYING in THE SPIRIT. That's how we should pray every day and be THAT close to God, every day.
Jesus Christ, Himself, gives us MANY warnings to PREPARE us for tribulation. He even warned the disciples they would be killed for their faith. I'm sure they would have loved being snatched away. Moses and his people, as well. When they crossed the Red Sea, there was your rapture, then the Egyptians were killed. When Noah went into the ark and God shut the door, there is your rapture, and everyone else on earth was killed. When Lot and his family were out (except for his wife), there is your rapture, and then everyone else was killed. All were protected on this earth during the times of trouble proceeding. All these are (1) tribulation, (2) rapture, and then (3) God's wrath. It's never going to change. Only the righteous saved, then the wicked die THAT DAY.
I can't even count the times I've read or heard "Jesus wouldn't want a battered, bloody, and abused bride." Well, what were the disciples (including Paul)? Chumps? Their names are on the gates of New Jerusalem. What about John the baptist that was beheaded? Jesus said in Luke 7:28 "I tell you, among those born of women there is no one greater than John, yet even the least in the kingdom of God is greater than he.” Well, that's a mic drop statement if I have ever seen one. All honored by Christ.
There is a DAY of the Lord. The wrath of God is on that day. Christians will escape GOD'S wrath. The tribulation is the devil's wrath (3 1/2 years). Jesus warns us about the last days because we will be here until the time of the end. He warns us so we will have faith and strength to endure "to the end". "But for the elect's sake, those days will be shortened." (from 7 to 3 1/2).
It will be no secret (Matthew 24:27) "For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be." Very loud and very bright.
The disciples asked when He's coming. Anyone that still questions this, is now debating with scripture because JESUS tells us, and Jesus is speaking to YOU, to NOT BE DECEIVED. Jesus begins by saying DO NOT BE DECEIVED. Jesus (Matthew 24:29-30) says
29 IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE TRIBULATION OF THOSE DAYS shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: 30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall SEE the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
NO ONE goes before the dead and Jesus, Himself, says FOUR times in John 6, "I will raise them on the LAST DAY". Last Day, last trump (7th). Last is last, and a day is a day, not before and not plural.
John 6:39
39This is the will of the Father who sent Me, that of all He has given Me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up at the LAST DAY.
John 6:40
40And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the LAST DAY.
John 6:44
44No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up at the LAST DAY.
John 6:54
54Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the LAST DAY.
And, 1 Corinthians 15:51-52 tells us our body will go from mortal to immortal in a twinkling of an eye. When? At the LAST TRUMP. The dead first, then "we" that are still alive. The last runner in a race, is not the first. Last is last. Last trump, last day. The end of alllllll days. No more chances to change. It's a done deal, judgement is right then and God's wrath is finally that DAY.
51Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the LAST TRUMP: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
Revelation 20:4-6
4And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them. Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. 5But the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished. THIS IS THE FIRST RESURRECTION. 6Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years.
Even Martha knew Lazarus would be raised on THE LAST DAY, and Jesus confirmed it. He did not say everyone would be raised earlier, He confirmed HE would be the one to raise everyone at the LAST day.

24 Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the LAST DAY. 25 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live.
NOT before the man of sin is revealed.
2 Thessalonians 2:3
3Let NO MAN deceive you by any means: for that DAY shall NOT come, except there come a falling away first, and that MAN OF SIN be REVEALED, the son of perdition;
Revelation 7:14 And I said to him, “Sir, you know.” So he said to me, “These are the ones who come out of the GREAT TRIBULATION, and washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
Those that are still alive, will go through great tribulation because we are believers in Jesus Christ. Again, Jesus told the disciples they will be KILLED because of their faith in Him.
What people don't emphasize, is how anyone of us could kill over dead any second. Our time to find Him and spread His message is now.
If any of us are still here during that time, we will either be protected ON THIS EARTH (not in Heaven), or killed because we refuse the mark. Again, Moses and God's people were PROTECTED ON THIS EARTH by God. They had light in their dwellings, their cattle didn't have lice, etc..
The 5 foolish virgins thought they were good to go, but found out they were not. All 10 virgins had lamps, but the 5 foolish no longer had oil in theirs (the Holy Spirit). When the bridegroom came, they thought they could fix it, but when they came back, the door was closed and NEVER to open again. A done deal. There is your 'left behind'. We don't get a second chance once Christ comes back on the last day. We have our second and millionth chance now.

There will be no "left behind" that will get second chances. Our second and millionth chance is now.
Please read what JESUS SAYS. He's warned us so we can prepare in faith like Daniel in the den and the 3 in the fire. When you throw out the pre-trib lie from the devil, the bible will open up to you like it's never done before. It will all make so much since, I promise. We have to have the faith to be ready to die for Him. Peter said he would, but then realized he couldn't and denied Christ 3 times. Peter finally found that much faith in the end.
A "pre-trib rapture" is teaching you to SAVE your life (Those that SAVE their life will LOSE it and those that lose their life will be saved) and not ENDURE to the END (Those that endure to the END will be saved) and NOT be ready to DIE for Christ, but is inventing an easy and cushy way out, that is NOT biblical. A pre-trib is preparing you to believe the FALSE Christ is the real Christ and Jesus warned us He's coming AFTER that false one. Please DO NOT BE DECEIVED. PLEASE WAKE UP!

If we aren’t raptured before the tribulation kicks off then most if not all Christians are going to be killed by the disasters or by the antichrist for refusing the mark. I don’t really care whether I die or get raptured. To live is Christ and to die is gain. I am barely surviving and have no way to prepare for what’s coming nor do I want to survive what’s coming. I remember watching this movie in high school with a group of students in our class at a Christian School I went to. As soon as seeing this movie in high school here, I took it seriously acceppting Jesus as my Savior. Also, I love the nostalgia of this film for both non Christian and Christian shows alike made back in these days bring back the childhood memories of the technologies, fashions, the Awesome rock and new wave music with all the AWESOME synthasizers of back then here, the feel in the air back in these days with all of this, the kinds of vehicles back then and so on. This film is a reminder of these Awesome childhood memories as well. Love it!

That's not true. The Holy Spirit will still be upon the earth. He just will not be restraining the evil to the degree that He does now. The Holy Spirit must be present in order for people to be saved during the tribulation. Salvation is the Holy Spirit's work in the human heart, without Him no one is saved- (John 3:5-8) If the Holy Spirit were not present during the tribulation, no one could be saved. However, we all know that a great number of people will be saved during the tribulation-(Revelation 7:14)
The Spirit will not take a leave of absence. There will still be evangelists to empower and people to save, and that means the Spirit’s presence will still be required.
Repent and put your faith in Jesus Christ now before its too late. This movie doesn't even come close to what the great tribulation will be like...Salvation is a free gift.
I was shown this series of movies in my church between the ages of 3 and 12 frequently. I didn’t realize the psychological trauma this did to me as a child. Looking at this again at the age of 51 makes me want to go back in time and rescue that fragile little girl. Shame on any church and anyone in that church that uses fear to get people to come to God.

I've watched all 4 parts of this movie series years ago multiple times. Really love them even with some inaccuracies like babies still being in this world or the people from the other movies who hairstyles changed from brunette to blonde, curly to straight, etc. 😊 The message is correct though. Accept Christ now while it's easy to do so.
Actually, the babies part is accurate because scripture says; " But woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck, in those days! for there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people." Luke 21:23 KJV

They should remake these movies using the new technologies we have today... plus I think all babies will be taken even those still in the womb. These are way before my time, but really speak to the feeling of our times. I’m a Christian, but I’m convinced all times prefigure the end times because these are the holy patterns of God. I never forget to be grateful, realizing how much worse it could be and how the Lord has blessed me. Because he is most truly good and loving toward creation, I am most heartily sorry for my sins, and thankful for the life , death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ which my sins required.

This is my first time watching this, I may rewatch to see what else is missing, so far I seen the part where they said the two witnesses came back to life yet this movie didn't say that they were taken up to Heaven.
