    Your hair is absolutely gorgeous and I've honestly been debating between the 7.0 and 8.0 shades!! Can I ask how light your hair was before you died it the 8.0 colour? My hair is at a 6-7 Level (a guess a light brown?) and I was wondering if the peroxide in this kit would lighten my hair enough and deposit the blonde colour! I really don't want to bleach my hair again as it would also my the touchups are a pain as well :( The 7.0 shade is absolutely gorgeous but since I've lightened my hair why would I..darken it permanently??

    • @BerryBeautifulLife
      @BerryBeautifulLife 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’m not sure if you should use a permanent color since your hair is so close to the shade. Any of my hair that got double dyed (over 7 years ago) that’s still hanging on around the ends was about a 4/5 at the time. However, that’s only the ends as I’ve cut a lot of that old damaged hair off. Most of my hair that I dyed with the 8 was my natural hair color so it would be a 2/3 if I had to guess as it’s a warm dark brown.

    • @Lina-np3ym
      @Lina-np3ym 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BerryBeautifulLife thank you for the reply! Just to be clear, you dyed your natural hair with the shade 8.0 which turned into a warm dark brown? I don't plan to use the peroxide in the kit as you've said my hair is close to the shade, I'll just use an activator to deposit the colour. I just wanted to make sure my hair was light enough

      Hey I started dying my hair with Garnier Olia Medium Blonde 8.0 for probably 4-5 years (can’t remember but I have old videos on it). When I decided to go darker I just started dying the new roots Garnier Olia Dark Blonde 7.0 and it seems to fade nicely into the older hair that is an 8. I did this over time as I just didn’t want my hair to be as light anymore so it wasn’t all at once.

      I would make sure your hair is in good health before dying it over again. I would deep condition weekly and depending on your porosity you may need some protein treatments or deep conditioner with protein in it. How healthy your hair is determines when you can dye again without breaking so I can’t really say as only you know your hair health based on how it is supposed to look, feel, and style.

      Yes this is the shade I’m using currently on my roots. The older length of my hair is the garnier Olia 8. Some of the hair at the ends may have got extra dye on it and I run outside quite a bit so some of it maybe lightening from that. • @BerryBeautifulLife
      @BerryBeautifulLife 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I don’t think it will be blonde. It may get to a medium brown or slightly lighter than medium if your hair is black naturally. The porosity and thickness of your hair strands also affect how well it takes. I’m using the 8.0 currently and my hair is naturally dark brown. However, the 8.0 dye isn’t coming out as light as it used to years ago when filming a lot of these videos so my hair is more of a light to medium brown or golden brown with a few blonde streaks where my hair is thinner or more porous.

    • @BerryBeautifulLife
      @BerryBeautifulLife 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have very dark brown natural hair and never used higher than an 8 when I was dying it blonde. It honestly depends on your hair porosity and strand thickness more than anything. I’m not a professional so I can’t really advise just say what I use.

      It should lighten your hair color but I’m not sure how light it will get. Usually if your hair is more porous then it takes to it better and less porous is more resistant. I haven’t used the 10 shade before; it may have stronger developer since it is very light blonde or it could be a lighter color deposit.

    everyone says that box color is really damaging to your hair, but i heard garnier olia in non-ammonia. Do you find your hair feels dry? Does it bother your scalp? Do you ever go to the salon? If so, do you think salon quality makes your hair feel less damaged? I am living in the caribbean and I am getting hair dye allergies and i was told to use a non-ammonia base hair color. Unfortunately, they don't have any over here.

    • @BerryBeautifulLife
      @BerryBeautifulLife 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s drier than my virgin hair but it doesn’t feel as dry as when I used other hair dyes in the past. My scalp feels fine with it. I think the only time I had an itchy irritated reaction was when I dyed it after using some DevaCurl products ( I don’t use them anymore) and never had a reaction since. I haven’t ever had it professionally colored so I’m not sure on how it compares to salon hair color either. If you are getting allergies then it may be better to go to a salon since hair dressers may have more experience with what works best.

    Hey, i am gonna buy that hair dye just ind the color “golden ash blonde”, since I want that light brownish blonde hair color, to my dark/really brown hair color. But I have nerver dyed my hair, this is my first time so do you think my hair color would turn out orange/reddish? Because I really don’t want that! So after I have dyed my hair with the box dye, should I then use a purple shampoo to prevent it from being orange/reddish. I am kinda new to this so any tips and help please?? And u so gorgeous❤️🤩

    • @BerryBeautifulLife
      @BerryBeautifulLife 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So I don’t recommend buying anything that says golden or warm on it. If it just said ash it would be ok but golden and warm tones tend to turn dark brown hair to a redder orangey tone. You’d be surprised but a lot of brunettes have red tones in their hair that don’t come out until they bleach them. The purple shampoo helps tone it down by depositing some temporary purple tones on your hair. It helps me take out excess dye as well but that’s just me because I know some don’t like to use shampoo because it dries it out though. Try to look for neutral or cool tones more if you are afraid of a reddish tone. I almost always get some reddish tone no matter the shade because it’s just what comes up when my hair is lightened. I just dyed the roots with the 6.0 shade and while it’s darker I still see some red but I like it. So it just depends on your preference.

    • @lalakiki9999
      @lalakiki9999 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      that’s awesome thank you so much for your help. So where u live in Denmark, and we don’t have the shade you have, and the shade “golden ash blonde” is the most similar to yours, but you said it would turn out kinda orange/Reddish, but I don’t mine if it’s just a little orange/reddish. But when I buy the hair dye I am gonna try just to dye one one stripe of my hair and then do all the stuff on it, and then se how the color turnes out on my hair stripe, before using it. I have also seen a hair dye box from garnier that’s stays Garnier Nutrisse Nourishing Hair Color Creme in the color “dark honey blonde”, do you think that the shade would turn out pretty? Because I feel like that’s gonna give me a really light blondish. brown highlights :) so I think I might just buy both boxes since it’s really cheep, and of course the purple shampoo with it. I am gonna see how both hair dyes turns out when I dye a couple stripes with both boxes on my hair... sorry for asking so many questions I just don’t wanna mess u my hair. And do you think it would help if I dyed my hair 2 times, if the color doesn’t show up that much or to lighten the color more with?

    • @BerryBeautifulLife
      @BerryBeautifulLife 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would say if you could find the plain medium blonde then that would be better but I think that testing it on a lock of hair is a great idea. I think that with the purple shampoo you should be fine if it does come out orangish because that normally fades. I just don’t know for sure because I haven’t used those shades and don’t want to give the wrong advice since I’ve only done my own hair and my mom’s hair.

    • @lalakiki9999
      @lalakiki9999 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Berry Beautiful that’s totally okay, but thanks again. I have heard that If I example do one hair stripe with the hair dye mix and wait for my hair to color, that the hair mix would turn out bad if I don’t use it asap, is that’s correct. Because that’s means I can’t wait for one hair stripe to dye if the hair mixer turns out bad. Or can I wait, And the hair dye won’t turn out bad If I wait a while. But I gonna use both hair dyes on one stripe and then see which of the shades that’s I mentioned I like 😘

      When I first did it, I had my mom do my whole head so I didn’t do it own my own like how I do touch ups. You would do it similarly but to all of your hair instead of the just the roots. It would be better to have clear sections with clips so that it would be easier to get it all. Also, you’ll need two boxes of hair dye to do your whole head.

      @BerryBeautifulLife 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Oh ok, I see what you mean now. Sorry I filmed this awhile ago and got confused with the shades since I’m dying it something different now. It would need to be dark blonde 7 at the roots to mid length and then medium blonde on the ends to look how my hair was in this video. I originally dyed all of my hair the medium blonde 8 or something similar from another brand. I changed the color over time to a darker one so I’m not sure how to get it to look exactly the same in one go.
