Oh please please bring back Sidney Parker. I don’t think Jane Austen would have ended it that way. When I think of #Sanditon, I think of Sidney Parker and Charlotte Heywood, central characters of this love story- the hero and heroine. I love all the characters too, but I just can’t believe writers wrote him off and not to see his presence in the next season … I don’t mind a recast but not killing the leading character. Having read all Jane Austen’s novels, this is not the same as her finished novels..I’m quite disappointed honestly. Could there be another true adaptation of this in the years to come or this will be improved and corrected in the next season or so…? I just want to send my appreciation and big thanks to fans/authors who wrote HAE ending of this story for these 2 beautiful characters.
I can't see Charlotte with anyone else. Sidney Parker was honed into the kind of man Charlotte deserved by their love for each other. They should have had their happy ending. Any other suitor can only fail by comparison. Sidney was passionate but tender. Handsome and fiercely protective of those he loved, he was a great physical presence. The chemistry between them was sizzling. Mr Colbourne eat your heart out. You come nowhere near. James Stringer would, also, have made a better suitor, than him! 😡
