I'd been in a music fest last April 6 this year, the AURIRA MUSIC FEST 2024 DAY 1 with 6 OPM Artists namely Cup of Joe, Adie, Juan Karlos, Moira, December Avenue, and SB19. In LIVE PERFORMANCES, they are different, tgey amazed me and I was speechless. They are betterbin LIVE. I am hopingvto see another one in the near future with my fav artists again. Kudos to both of you, Waleska and Efra!!!! ❤❤❤❤❤ And btw, that's normal. Karaoke in the beach, in the house, inuman sessions, any seasons, anywhere, any festivities, you can see Pinoy singers. They are at Matabungkay Beach Resort there are tables and benches for rent at the beach or you can rent a floating cottage and take it out to sea. The persons singing borrowed the mics of a karaoke machine playing at one of the cottages for rent at the beach.
You can imagine how hard it is for professional singers to stand out in country where great singers are a norm. It would take a lot to impress the gen population. Here lisync is a nuh ah

I remember in grade school, we were grouped into 2, taught to sing children songs in 1st voice, or 2nd voice. Soprano or alto. That happened when we got sleepy. It was pretty normal. Fun too. 😅
Ngl, it's kind of fascinating learning about the music theory when it comes to singing since I grew up singing in the Philippines without even knowing it existed-I mean, I knew music theory exists when it comes to instruments and such, but the vocal aspect feels like such a foreign concept to me.
Before seeing this channel, I didn't know about anchoring, modulation, and other such things. All I knew was singing my heart out to my favorite songs even if I didn't sound good at all.

Go to a small town and youll see that singing contests are a regular part. And yes growing up filipiino kids gets bashed for being out of tune but its just a laughing matter and so they end up singing more till they hit the tune good enough
