I LOVE TH-cam and long-form videos, it's kind of the only social media I watch nowadays. I've barely spent any time on Instagram in the last year and a half, and I used to scroll endlessly, which would only give me anxiety. I almost got trapped by TH-cam shorts, but I snapped out of it after a while, because it's the same endless scrolling. I like watching a relaxing long-format video where my brain doesn't have to struggle to process a lot of information in 10 seconds. My fave channels are yours ❤, Sustainably Vegan, Madeleine Olivia, XO Macenna, Lone Fox, My Green Closet, Molly Burke, and Wayne Goss. I've noticed some of these channels pop up in other comments, so your subscribers probably have similar tastes and prefer more calming channels like yours🙂
My latest favorites on TH-cam are CityNerd (a city planner's take on how we are, sadly, making so many cities less walkable, less public transportation friendly, which cities are bucking the trend and how they're doing it - I enjoy his dry wit as well), Cecelia Blomdahl (life on an island near the north pole), Vox (well-researched backstories on a million different topics - e.g., How did pink become a "girly" color? Why do so many people need glasses now?), PBS Terra (climate change), Dr. Geoff Lindsey (linguist - but the opposite of dry, he recently did a video on BTS), and Morgan Long for her aesthetic - and more history channels than I could name, because I'm a total history nerd. Congrats, by the way, on your move! We recently moved from L.A. to the Portland area, so it was funny to watch you visiting Pasadena (very close to where I lived) right before you left - I did the same.

I'm the same way - I spend hours and hours on TH-cam! TH-camrs are like my friends I hang out with at the end of the day... so different than TikTok. It's almost like the difference between short-term and long-term satisfaction. TH-cam is more of an investment but more worthwhile, in my opinon (both for the creator and the viewer).
