They are called either screams or harsh vocals, these ones are approaching what's called gutturals which are exactly what the name implies, a deep guttural scream that comes right from the gut. They are probably *the* draw of metalcore, the right scream can hit you in ways no other delivery could. Growls are a different vocal technique that is used in metalcore

It's really hard to internalize what he really means by this video. Ronnie is a pretty good dude with a past that he is criticized for. I say this is just some of his inner impurities trying to escape through art. I know that he has spoke on the world and the direction that it's going in general in the past and he's not exactly a huge fan. Especially the cancel culture mobs that go after people for petty things and standards that the people that are doing the criticizing can't even uphold themselves.
