Cliff is definitely my favorite bassist. I've taken so much inspiration from him. Hetfield is my favorite guitarist, so just gimme some Metallica and I'm good 😂
The cool thing about art is that regardless of what the artist was trying to convey in their creation, once the work is released to the world, the viewer (or listener in this case) will ultimately see something else in the work. Artists should never be asked to explain their work. Let people make of it what they will.

This album was ALMOST perfect... it became perfect once I rearranged the songs in a more conceptual-transitional flow. ;-)

James says this at every concert. This song is also about the mosh pit.....front and center of the stage. It's the Whiplash theme. It was still the early days of Metallica

Master of Puppets is the closest thing to being a concept album without actually BEING a concept album.
I'd say Ride, Puppets, and AJFA are all sort of concept albums. Ride is about death, Puppets is about power/domination, and AJFA is about corruption.
