    The people saying this sounds bad aren't giving enough credit. Yes, it sounds small but the tone itself is solid. What do you expect from something that fits in the palm of your hand?

    • @redhouseguitar9851
      @redhouseguitar9851  4 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      If players are expecting it to sound like a hand wired all-tube custom shop tweed amp of coarse they will be disappointed. Granted most are comparing it to similar 9 volt amps, but it seems like some players are comparing it's tone to a full size amp. Not exactly apples to apples in the latter example.

      I’m comparing it to the Blackstar Fly, which is about the same size/price and doesn’t sound like garbage.

      @@timothy6966 yeah exactly, the reason it gets so much hate is for no extra money you can get an amp that is the same size and actually sounds good

    Laying it down makes it sound more like 60s era live recordings. Very Cool.
    Might be an interesting experiment to see how different amps sound laying down like that.

    Theoretically, this is a "Buddy Holly" rig, lol. I'm getting really fascinated with mini amps, having ordered an Orange micro amp recently and, surprisingly, finding it to be actually useful. Micing it with a 57 closely at the center of the speaker eliminates much of the "toyish" sound because of proximity effect, and it comes across in the context of trax we do on my DAW like a "real" amp. I have this Twin tweed on the way, and I'm looking forward to experimenting with it also.

    Top little amp, I put mine in a tin biscuit box which makes it really springy sounding..or get a balanced jack from the phones out into a bigger amp and it becomes a demon pre-amp!!

    This in no way sounds bad when you consider how small those speakers are and how much the thing costs.

    Try to press it against a wardrobe or any bigger boxed-shape wooden surface. It will transfer the sound. I usually press guitar headstock like that and get natural amplification.

    On mine I have modified the headphone jack to be a line out for a cab. You just cut two traces, one trace cut is for one sound channel and the other trace is for a resistor or diode i forget (i used a switch(DPDT) so i could still switch back to factory to use it with headphones). it is surprisingly loud and full sounding plugged in to a 1X12 . it is about a 2 min job if you don't use a switch.

      @@siddiquemohammed3296 like to a hi-fi or stereo set ?, with it being stock yes, you can treat it just like a headphone out on a phone, it has a 1/4 in headphone jack (so your going to need to get a 1/4 in to 3.8mm adaptor to connect it to anything modern ) its stereo (dual mono) stock , My mod disables the right channel to make it mono and bypasses a capacitor to make it so you can plug it into a cabinet at full power ( the capacitor was used to reduce the power going to the headphone jack , so you don't blow out your headphones) but i have a switch to revert it back to stock so you can still use headphones , or switch it to use it for a cabinet,
