      @@zigibeat3689 this is not true. Every citizen in Nigeria pays taxes. Here in Ghana we use our taxes to fund the free education at all levels except Universities. Nigeria contributes more taxes than Ghana, but ask yourselves where does your tax go to?

    Let me remind you about something again. Before Nigeria and all Sub-Sahara African countries were, we were. I mean before Nigeria was, we Ghanaians were. The 1st to gain independence in Sub-Sahara Africa and you think is easy? Go and read about "the white malice" and you will truly know where, how and what Ghana was and is. Just recently these politicians have decided to derail our progress. If not, none would have matched Ghana in Africa. We'd have been competing with US UK and then thems.

    The next president of Ghana is either a doctor of economics or a masters degree holder in history. The next Vice president of Ghana could be a full professor or a medical doctor.
    So it has been for a while now. Few exceptions here and there but generally you must have atleast a first degree to run Ghana.

    I have participated in meetings where Nigerians showed brilliance. I am sick of such comparisons. Being Ghanaian, I can say that those who worked with Kwame Nkrumah were not too highly educated but they performed wonders. Present-day Ghanaian politicians are a disappointment. Please be careful of your theories, utterances and statements which are only dividing us instead of uniting us. Please be careful. Your comparisons and denigrations are not what Africa needs. We need unity !!!

      @harrietacquah2545
      Ms. Harriet, do you think that is not feasible in this country?
      Ghanaians need to be prepared for the job market around the world. Right now, the cut-off in Ghana educational system is at the senior high school. After the foundation for that is well built, the government will move the educational cut-off to the bachelor's degree. To achieve that, the government would be given scholarships to the people who needed it, and the same will be applied to the free senior high school based on your parents' annual income. Many structures are going to be changed very soon in the country.
