I’m here since 1995. When we invite guest for dinner or if we are going someone home then they helped to clean dishes, kitchen etc….in india most people have servants but here in home party mostly no servants. 🤦🏻♀️

Out of 20 weird things you mentioned I agree with most of them except some.
1. Children (son or Daughter) don’t live with their parents. American or European society want to make their children Independent. Children pay their own student loan, they find their own spouses, they buy their own house and raise their own family. Father take responsibility to raise their kids. Father doesn’t have to ask in what grade their kids are? When time comes they will come and help their aged parents also. Every body is independent and take responsibility. Unlike India Parents raise their children with out any expectations. Indian parents things that their children are their property.

Some weird thing about Indians. 1. Americans may not be asking which caste you belong to ? like our typical Gujarati habits . 2. Indians are eating too much , too spicy and too sweet. this was opinion of my Venezuelan friend. our thali is big surprise for them. 3. Also they surprise how we Indian live together with so many diversity of language, food festival and clothes .

Weirdest for me is to predict their names coz often they have 4 or more things added in their name and its hard till date for me to predict that which is the first or last or middle or extra and why and also its hard to predict who is male or female or other gender based on their names 🤔 😅

Yes, Sir, America is a very different country and you find people from all parts of the world - particularly of European origin( Irish, Polish, Dutch, German, Spanish, Italian, Scots etc) and of the African origin who came in as slaves. Waves of immigration have given an interesting shape to the society in last 50-75 years. Thanksgiving is another important social celebration and 🦃 is specifically put on the table.

Another vichitra thing that I still feel after 20 years is the way they dip one potato chip into the ketchup and eat at fast food restaurants ... I would (with half their size) eat atleast 4 chapatis, rice veggies etc..

Sweet Sixteen is a good celebration for the girls to make them mature enough to deal with the world while the American presumes that boys are already matured when they are 15 years old, so they don't celebrate. other things you mentioned I also observed when I came to USA 20 years before. આમ કરવાથી નાના બાળક ની પોતાની સ્લીપ પેટર્ન ડેવલપ થાય છે અને આકસ્મિક રીતે માતા પિતા નો હાથ પગ ના વાગી જાય અથવા ઓશિકા જેવી વસ્તુઓ થી શ્વાસ ના રૂંધાય જાય તે કારણ હોય શકે છે.

મોટા ભાગના માતા પિતા પોતાના ફેમિલી સાથે રહેવા માંગતા હોય છે એટલે રહેતા હોય છે.
આમાં એવું હોય છે કે મા બાપ ને તો તિય રાખવા જેવી છે માટે મા બાપ ને રહેવું પડે છે માટે 😊
