@@iamstevenallen just sent my first role out to be developed. That will take awhile. Looking forward to getting it back tho, in a few weeks! Next up I will try my Dad’s old Yashica SU-40 (SUPER 8) 🤞🏻
@@iamstevenallen I've used the phone app and also an electronic sekonic meter (l-308s). I'm trying to use Sunny 16 a lot more, but its heading towards winter in my part of the world so the days are getting gloomy :P
Thanks I would like to add that we move the red arrow to save a reading, in case we take a different reading, we can come back to it, because except for one video out there, no other video tells us why we use the red arrow. Secondly, I wanted to ask, what are the orange numbers on the top most scale?
I would love to buy this one but I’m struggling with an idea of using flash occasionally as well. Therefore l308 or 398 … I just don’t like the lcd display of the modern ones
I first assumed what he meant was simply that 120 means more expensive frames and fewer of them, so it's not as practical to guesstimate and bracket as it is with 36 cheaper frames. But then I realized he means film vs digital rather than 120 vs 135: He's saying he just uses sunny 16 with his Hasselblad digital back, but if you're actually using film that gets a lot less reasonable.
Thanks for the simple explanation… just bought to use w my dad’s, old, refurbished Bolex D8L
thanks for watching! nice! how are you liking the bolex?

Thumbs up for all that wild energy 🤘💯
Really cool video. I use a different light meter but these fully analog ones are so versatile and reliable 😊
Thank you! 😀 For sure, but I actually used an app to meter yesterday-I might compare the two. What light meter do you use?

@@AselaArt cool! that looks like a nice one-and I forgot you’re on the other side of the world-youtube is really bringing people together 🌎🌏
hi, in the speaker test for the highlights, it gave you 160 the value ... but you placed the index on a different value, it was your mistake?
So helpful! Thank you, Steven!
thanks for watching! 😁
Thanks

yeah, a flash makes you have to go in a different direction 📸
Whats the issue with 120 and sunny 16?
