I feel like most of these drama stories could be solved if everyone involved actually communicated like adults.
The problem here is it seems to me almost all of these stories sound like people in the 14-19 range based on how they talk and the decisions they make

The part that baffles me the most is the card reading was absolutely taken by the OP to mean what they wanted it to mean so they came out squeaky rather than taking it as a point of self-reflection. This is why people who do fortune-telling absolutely cannot just spout out meanings of cards. They're playing psychologist with sometimes only a fraction of the training and often NONE of the context that is behind the inquiry.
Edit: Raife got Dear-John'd too, which sucks. Man shouldn't have gone to the other dude and said 'good job replacing me' which was pretty petty so he ain't coming out clean either.

Op- need to take accountability for her actions. Rafe in the military, you know he may not be on alot at some point. Yet because you were "lonely" you replaced him with a "friend". You were getting annoyed by the emotes because you already liked the "friend". She did replace him with 5he friend if you really think about it.
OP could have just expressed this to Rafe in the first place, and he would have probably been understanding which is the sad part. :(

stories ab tarot readings are always so interesting. bc the person getting the reading tends to try to change their fate, and they ultimately suffer what they were trying to avoid in the first place! imo tarot is good for offering a different perspective in your life and should be taken with a grain of salt. poor op tried to take the advice but just couldn't resist Miko 😝 and the dramatic irony of it all just proved the fortune to be a reality. I loved the way it was written, even the dramatic reminiscing in melancholy with the game music. so entertaining and def a learning opportunity for everyone involved.
Every character in this story was down right a mess. The only good one is Rafe or however you spell it. Listening to this makes me feel like listening to a villain pov lmao
I feel that. As a person who served for 9 years, looking at Rafe's perspective, it did look like she was cheating on him. He could have been on deployment or on the field. I've personally seen relationships fall apart cause the girlfriend/wife wasn't getting enough attention from their boyfriend/husband while serving.

The moment OP started speaking I had an inkling what kind of person they were and the story proved me right. They’re the type of person to keep friends just so she can relish in the feelings of friendship and not feel lonely. It doesn’t matter who as long as someone does it. Definitely no self reflection happening in their head about their actions and most certainly exhibiting main character syndrome

Sounds like an old FC mate who was in some kind of relationship with one dude and when he had to take a break from the game, she immediately got lonely and pounced on my friend at the time. Ex comes back to the game and girl couldn’t take any accountability for cheating. My friend also turned out to lack morals and gladly became the “other guy”. Safe to say he isn’t my friend anymore. I don’t condone cheating even if this is just a video game. Those two can be happy together though-toxic trolls the both of them and last I heard she got knocked up IRL.

I think I have to say something for OP: if a friend, even if its a spouse ingame, doesnt come online for a long while, he cant expect to pick up where he left. People move on, and if you miss it, thats on you. You're the one who has to keep up and if you cant, well, no reason to feel sorry for yourself. I have or had a few FF14 friends who quit for months, and let me tell you: people change, you yourself change. Sometimes you reconnect but thats just not always possible. Nothing wrong with trying to find companionship in an online game... after all, it is a social experiance for most of us. Would it have been better if things were handled differently? Maybe. But who among us can claim that he/she always behaves like a sensible adult? Noone, I'd wager.
Really wonder how the tarot reading works for ingame... is the fortune teller laying out cards on their own desk at home? ... Sounds like it... Actually a cool concept for rp :)

I feel like OP wants us to feel bad for her and think Rafe and Miko are a bad person, but that's really not how I feel about it. She sounds like a vain, attention hungry person who likes to use other people and discard them once they served their purpose and then becomes jealous when they move on from her. She has a really bad case of main character syndrome.

still relationships and women require some availability when you are close if you go full cold turkey don't be surprised if someone like Nico worms their way in your spot give too much and don't be surprised if she starts looking down on you it's just a gamble on what you have to do some require more or less but again Rafe becoming MIA was kinda why this started feel bad for him but point still stands.

I disliked the OP more and more while listening to this story. And by reading the comments I realized that I am not alone with this feeling. I don't know but OP knows that Rafe is in the military and has to travel so he would not be there all the time. No, of course that does not mean that the OP should stop playing and having fun. And it is okay have friends. But of course she did replace Rafe with him. Suddenly Rafe wasn't good enough for her anymore. And then the fortune teller. Damn...Rafe got lucky by losing her, I'd say. She has a history of losing both men if more both had an interest in her? Well woman, I wonder why! Some selfreflection might help.
Edit: And well...in the end Miko treated her like she treated Rafe and I guess she did not like it. Even though Miko was strange too. What a story....

But besides that this is nothing new, I dealt with this so much in FFXIV where people would treat this game like a dating simulator.. they tale it personally because they invest to much feelings in the game which is unhealthy and this is why I have these in game relationship issues because people can't separate in game from reality.

Yeah… OP is completely in the wrong here me thinks. If you know your S/O is in the military, you should know there will be an amount of time where you won’t see or hear from them. I feel bad for Rafe. Betrayed by the person who you thought was gonna be there waiting for him to come back with open arms, only to be replaced by someone else.
I know this is a video game, but people very much do the same thing irl. Cheating is never okay, you never know what kind of impact it would have. Especially when that person is serving in the military.

as a guy who likes to play female characters I always hated getting subtle but not so subtle flirtatious messages from guys. They always make things awkward when i just want to play the damn game. When i changed from miqo to fem hyur it all stopped funnily enough.
