I love how the community steps up to help you when you needed it. These days it's not exactly rare but kind of, and definitely a welcome show of caring.
It is amazing to me that the tiniest, new to the world babies, know instinctively to hold on to mom's chest, while she runs, climbs, or jumps. Their little arms don't look strong enough.
When they first come out, look at the size of the veins running to their fingers. Anatomically it's evident that gripping is their #1 priority from the moment of birth; it's incredible to see those little fingers clamp onto fur and go white at the knuckles - yet they will not, MUST not relax them! Nature is just fantastic :)
They actually come out of the womb grasping onto mom. I seen a video of one giving birth and the baby came out head first, then its arms, started grabbing onto mom and then the bottom half of the baby came out! So yes, they come out of the womb holding on to mom. It's all due to instinct, it's in their genes. 😮
@@BEV0323 I love how it's hard-wired into the genes... it makes my head hurt trying to imagine how a bunch of DNA inside a load of developing cells 'knows' how to GRAB mom's fur as soon as it's born. No more or less astonishing than any other of nature's miracles... but I never get tired of watching them come into the world. And they're so stupidly cute as well.
That lille cutie blossom is not going to stay put long she is ready to see everything!!!! Lol I'm so happy for Booper her very on little beautiful bundle of joy!!!
Thank you MI! I appreciate all of the family info/pics, status ranking and new names you provided, the way you organized this video is very helpful. Booper kind of reminds me of Aggy in Bossy's troop, both were exceptionally baby crazy before they became mothers and I'm sure Booper will turn out to be a great mom just like Aggy did. 🐒

I am so thankful for you and Mr.A giving us these sensational stories on Monkey Hill and collaborating together, you all just give us so much to enjoy and look forward too. I find myself saving the videos now to enjoy at my leasure❤❤
These monkey moms don’t give the newborns any help in learning how to find the nipple and suckle. The gorillas and orangutans are much more helpful with theirs. It breaks my heart to see them struggle like that.
Congrats on all the new babies in Skullhead's troop! ❤ Wowie! Lavender looks like a _big_ baby! Must have taken a toll on Booper as a first time mum to push! Thanks, MC! ✌️🇸🇪
Outstanding MC. Beautiful filmography and editing. I will say I thought Booper could helped place her teat in the vicinity of her mouth. The baby was getting lost in her thick winter coat.

My bad.!! I didn't watch her viedio to the end. I feel better now. Booper and Lavemder look so cute to gether, and it looks like Booper will make a good, and loving mother.
Sweet video of the new babies. I watched a video just before this one when Lavender is older and having a hard time hanging onto Booper everytime Booper got up to walk. Poor Lavender just dangled from her mom. I was concerned that the baby would go tumbling down the hill. I did notice that in This video when Lavender couldn't find the teats it looked like she was checking out the food on the ground like she wanted some. LOL she did seem like a curious little monkey.❤
I'm late to the party. I actually left my phone in the car of my best friend 😢I was so lost last night w/o my monkey medicine and my dear monkey friends
I’m going out on a limb here to say that by the grace of God, Teeny is even alive which means she’s lucky, special by ALL accounts. With that being said, God knew it wasn’t her time or she may not be ready to be a mum for some reason this year????
@@venetabritt2771Its mostly just her age. Males on average go for older females because they have higher chances of being able to successfully rear babies. Low-rank girls tend not to start having babies till 5 or 6. It’s usually the highborn that have them as early as 4, but even Booper waited till 6 years old.
Teeny needs to grow a little more. Her little body is not ready to birth a baby, if she had a baby this year she could have died in childbirth. We can wait another year. It is so stupid and thoughtless of people to say they hoped Teeny was pregnant this year.
I'm getting worried that Lavender won't get enough milk to survive. I don't understand why Booper is not helping her. It really scares me that she won't survive. She is not strong enough to latch on. God I hope she will be alright.
By the way, you always do the most beautiful editing, and clever educational narration.💖 I giggled 🤭 when you told about Ella being in "a family way" ☺️ ✌️🇸🇪
She’ll get her chance again next year. Typically low-rank girls dont have kids until 5-6 years old. Even Booper who is part of the royal family didn’t have her first until this year at 6 years old. I got hope for her.
I cannot believe the number of ignorant people wanting Teeny to have a baby this year. It would be like a 10 year old human trying to give birth. 10 year old girls do not have a wide enough birth canal.
I wonder if Booper understands that she does have a baby. Her actions are like someone who dosn't even what a baby is. You can tell just by the way she carries the Lavendor while she walks. God i am so scared for Little Lavender.
I think the birthing took a lot out of Booper and the baby. Once Booper’s feeling better and baby’s recovered suspect their dynamic changes completely. Lavender seems a big, strong baby
@@kimhunter7606Yeah you can tell Lavender is super fresh in this video, she still has her umbilical cord and is very red. Booper will get the hang of it.
Well, dang! I sure hope Lavender gets a lot better at latching on. A more experienced mother might be better at helping her nurse. It seems like Lavender is too wobbly to hang on for more than a few seconds at a time. She's kind of a spaz and not exactly the brightest bulb I've ever seen.
I totally agree with u. I don't know about u I'm worried that Booper is not helping and more interested in eating then paying attention to little Lavender. U think when she was observing and watching other mothers all those years she would know at least the basics. I'm very worried about Lavender. If she doesn't start nursing soon she may not survive. I know I would be devastated if anything should happen to her.
@@meredythbeattie5937 , let's not worry until we see how baby Lavender is doing in the follow-up episodes. Whether we worry, or not, is pretty useless since there's not a blessed thing any of us, or even M.C., can do to help. Booper will get better as she becomes a more seasoned mom.

Seems like anywhere between 10% and 33% of a troops babies will die in the first few months. The smaller troops (not Skullhead) can occasionally have years where a mother loses baby after baby that really cut down on the troops growth. Couple that with males coming of age getting booted out of the troop and females randomly disappearing (Ridgys family I think lost quite a few adult females recently and it was kind of mysterious) Since they often live past 15 years it kinda seems like the babies keep exploding the population but I think it’s the fact that we GET videos about newborns but the only time you hear about deaths is when AM mentions someone disappeared
Lavender is doomed. Booper is not behaving at all like a healthy mother. Lavender is extremely weak and can't get a strong grip, and mom will not position herself so the baby can find the teat. She's either slumped over stuffing her own face or running around dragging the poor baby to find more food to stuff her face. I'm not even convinced booper has milk. That baby should be attached to the teat tightly for the first few days. My opinion.
Yep, i noticed that too. I don’t see any motherly instincts kicking in yet, don’t know what ML is seeing but I don’t…..How many of those dam mangos was she gonna eat and all that bread.
