"don't look in the mirror to see how you're doing, but look at the cross to see what He did" praise God!💗 praying for her! great reminder for me as well
Thanks tony for these videos. I pray all who view them will glean from them on how to evangelize. Always a learning experience. I pray this precious young lady will keep in touch with you and Mahria.
I grew up doing passion play. In those passion plays the crucifixion reenactment felt absolutely real. If hell was ever inconsistent with God's love, he would have never sent Jesus to take the punishment of sin upon himself on the cross. Thank you Lord Jesus for the sacrifice you made on the cross for us
In the passage you refer to, did Jesus *really* say "I never knew you" to people who "trusted in their own goodness"? Or was it to people who did all those sensational things "in Jesus name", but they were really "workers of iniquity"? Not here to nitpick, but I wouldn't think to use that passage to illustrate people "trusting their own goodness". (I think I might sooner use the story of "the Pharisee and the Publican".)
@ingela_injeela He will declare to them that he NEVER knew them. Not that he knew them at some point. But never knew them at all. They may have been to church, used his name to pray, cast out demons and everything but never truly realized that they need ONLY Jesus, not Jesus + something else. The word of God itself says that our good deeds are like filthy rags to God. The true gospel is this, acknowledge that you are dead if you were judged by the law (and if God were to judge you based on that you would deserve hell), and believe in Jesus alone for your salvation. most people misquote the book of James when he says "Show me your faith apart from your deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds". James is clearly saying here, because I'm saved I do good works, because I would like to be like my Father in Heaven. I don't do good works, to be saved, cuz I'm already saved. That's exactly why Christianity was spread so fast in the first two centuries. Because every religion wanted you to do works, and rituals to get to God. But Jesus message seemed too good to be true, repent and believe the gospel and you will be saved. Who wouldn't want to worship such a merciful God and good God, that would bring you to Heaven just for putting all your faith in Him. And yet these days unfortunately so many people miss it, because of pride. They feel like they want to earn it, while Jesus said preach it to children. That's how easy it is to understand.
@@impeccable2003 That's true. In a way, it's easy to understand. And on the other hand... "My Lord, what love is this, that gave so freely That I, the guilty one may go free? Amazing love oh what sacrifice The Son of God given for me My debt He pays And my death He dies That I might live That I might live"
