Hello, I was wondering what kind of dirt bike I should get? I am 5”8 and I’m 13 and I weigh 130lbs never ridden a dirt bike. I don’t know if I should ride the TTR 125 or the TTR 230. Which bike do you recommend?
While the 125 is easy to ride, it will be too short for you, the 230 too heavy. Maybe a klx 140 they make a short and tall version. My son rides a kayo 230, kind of a unicorn bike, not quite full sized, light weight and runs good with the honda 230 clone engine.
Some good advice so far, Hudson. At your height, the TTR125 will feel a bit small. The TTR230 or a KLX140R F (140G) with full size wheels would fit you well :)
I’m 5’6 at 13 and I’m still growing, I’m looking for a Honda and the crf125fb feels smaller than I would like and so I recommended to my parent that I could get a crf230 or 250f but he thinks that I’m gonna get myself killed on it so I want to hear your advice on what I should do.
Yeah, the biggest difference will be weight in size. Yes, the 230 and 250 trail bikes have more power, but they're all tame and smooth when stock. If you don't mind selling the CRF125FB in a year, you could start on that and then upgrade later, although you'll lose some money if you're buying brand new. I'm 5'6" and can ride a 125FB fairly comfortably, even though the 230 fits me better.
@@MotocrossHideout oh no I meant to mention that the don’t have a 125 I just went to my local dealer and sat on it and checked it out and stuff. I’ve only had a lot of experience with a crf70 and a crf110 because of a friend I know.
I've used the increase idle trick before. That's definitely helpful for beginners. Do fuel injected bikes have that option? I've only owned/worked on carb bikes myself.
Where do you struggle most when using the clutch?

if your feet can touch the ground, and you feel comfortable doing that, go for it. You will grow into it.

Nice! Yes, I believe most EFI bikes have an idle adjustment screw. I haven't needed to adjust it on this bike though.

250
@ looks nice and in really good condition
Thanks, it still has relatively low hours.
