May sound like a silly point, however… I chose chi battery as being the highest quality manufacturer when I decided on a battery upgrade. I was impressed to see a slick TH-cam installation video. But when it suggests cutting the screws? Really? Just seems so cheap and tacky when it could state ‘using the replacement screws included’ which would have left the viewer thinking ‘class act! These guys thought of everything’ rather than ‘damn that’s cheap!’ I am now left wondering if my new battery will have new parts or will be constructed using ‘modified’ ones.
Hey whats up here from new york! Would love to see an updated video with the gen 2 casings to see any fitment improvements and just how the battery looks in the bike in general and the screen! Im trying to order one of these two for Christmas! Love your guys stuff!
I had trouble fitting the new tray. The brake cable prevents it from seating fully. The tray needs to be a tiny bit narrower. Also, unless I missed it, where do you install the little foam pad that comes with the battery? Without it, the battery has an inch of play and bangs around. I used some dense foam strips attached to the lock mechanism. Agree with others about washers instead of clipping screws. For a $2550 battery I expect more. But it's crazy good for extending range!
Thank you for providing feedback on your installation! This feedback will be passed along and used to help make improvements. The foam padding goes under the battery lid to compress against the top of the battery.
Y cut screws when u can add washers. That's not the right way to do it. Or at least new shorter screws. For that price of a battery (even more for Canadians) would expect a little more professionalism tbh imho
and by the way whats with that new harness? my battery did not come with a new harness? 5:17 Im looking at it is that just a Cap for a harness? What would I look for if I wanted to buy that cap?
My buddy just got his 72 Max a few weeks ago and dang the performance jump he got since he already had a bac8000 on his bike, 77kmh top speed bumped up to over 130kmh
Does anyone else have a hard time getting the battery in with the cowling extender? I have the 72v max and with the extension I can’t get the battery in
I'm a little dissapointed that you dont include a solution to having the seat riser. Its a modification that almost any surron owner has and you didnt think of that? Now i have to go craft my own extension bracket to be able to close my latch
Please use the right tool for the job... This video just shows how unprofessional you guys handle things. I mean come on using pliers on a nut. Go get a wrench and do not damage it.
Don’t have to flip bike over. Can just lay on floor and look up. And don’t need to cut the screws, can just add washers
saving this when i need it, may god be with you and all of your pillows cold
