Thanks for the Video as always, I believe the fundamentals of the game should remain constant as in shooting, defending, regular passing and FIFA can change whatever they want as they often do. I say this because its always the same story........they keep changing things that in my opinion should remain the same as I indicated above. L2 R2 worked fine in 2021 and now its not the same, WHY? I've been struggling with defending, especially when I practice vs the AI, it whizzes by me almost every single time. I tried speeding up to the attacker and then L2 R2, I tried only L2 ............nothing seems to work.
I did very well in Fifa 21 and raised through the divsion, but in Fifa 22 I can't for the love of God get passed the 10th division at all. This game can make me rage! I never raged so much since I played Tekken!

4000+ Matches now ( Fifa 21 & Fifa 22)....seen every Jockeying Video...Practiced it everyday...still can't get Manual Defending + Jockeying right.... 2.13 Mins is what happens to me all the time...When I use Sprint + Jockey my Defender moves away in the wrong direction and when I only use Jockey the Attacker just goes Past my CB too easily...It's pretty frustrating to be still struggling with this even after 4000+ matches
Same here… here’s what I do…. I learned to use only L2 and X button… Firstly I sprint to stay in front of the players and take my hands off the R2 button… Then I slowly jockey using L2 and X
Other guides be saying no r2 l2 just sprint then l2 sprint then l2 seemed to work better for me rarely using r2 and l2 except for passing lanes but what your saying contradicts it all Who's right o.0

I keep struggling with Defending, due to my ping! I had 1000 games in Fifa 21 PC 144hz, shared ping/connection with opponent, only had 200 loses, 650 wins, 150 draws. Was playing as Juventus in Seasons and had those stats. Now PS5 FIFA 22 next gen, I constantly get 60ms ping(not shared connection, propably join a server) opponent plays with 10ms ping, as a result they keep walking pass me and I miss aim and cannot recover in time, due to input lag! Playing with Manchester United in Seasons and I have 100 wins,60 draws, 60 loses. Unacceptable and unplayable, considering of re-selling or refunding this broken game.
Tips. Defensive awareness is what makes your jockey faster or slower. Just Hold L2 to jockey, once you are near to the ball, hold L2 and R2 (sprint button). Do not simply hold L2 and R2 to jockey because, when the opponent is in the box, it won't help you.
@@ramymounir6946 I am better at Legacy but i would go for tactical because maybe one day you will play online mode. Imagine playing 1 year offline then you are bored and want to play online so you will need start from level 0 in defending. You can see at my channel i uploaded a glitch bug in defending tackling so with Legacy you will not have that glitch i think.
We in Africa are suffering from this year's Manual Jockey. It's not ping friendly. The best ping one can get on the best internet connection is 90ms here in West Africa. I preferred FIFA 21's Jockey they just ruined it for us.
Bro let’s talk honestly , am playing fifa since 94 on SEGA probably you still didn’t born yet…..that version of jockey in 22 absolutely horrible , not working properly with faster player who are 85+ acceleration, practicing is good as you said but in worst cases scenarios against 85+ acceleration players is totally a joke, fifa 22 made the worst version of jockey and defending !
