Thanks for this video, this was really helpful! This was the first time I've seen that the requirement to stay in Italy was 4 years. I had only heard 5 years, and someone even told me this was 6 years if you were working for the same company before and after the move to Italy. Can you confirm that the requirement to stay in Italy is actually "only" 4 years? Grazie mille!
Hello the requirements to stay in Italy at least 4 years is correct. 6 years or 7 years are the requirements of not have been tax resident prior the relocation under certain conditions.
Wow very interesting changes! I assume with the new 2024 law, that if I wish to continue to work for my existing employer and impatriate into Italy, does that employer still have to write a letter to the Italian tax authority to request "permission/notification"?
Hi, thank you for this video, it helps to shed some light on these recent changes. I've been trying to find some information about my situation in particular: I've started a work contract with an Italian company and moved here in September 2023, and unfortunately was not able to register with the Anagrafe before the 31st of December, even though I tried hard to make it happen. Can I still have access to the previous regime? Thanks in advance
Thank you as always! Do you know if it's late to apply for the impatriate with the old rules (did we pass the form deadline)? I have the anagrafe residency before 31 Dec 2023.
Hi, thanks for the informative video. I am working with a company Accenture in India and was in Italy (Rome) from 2018-2020 on a contract. Now I’m coming back to Italy with the same employer Accenture in March 2024. Will I be able to qualify the new tax regime for rebate?
Great video! Interesting changes. For how long we can be sure this version of Impatriate Regime will last? Can this be changed again by end of 2024 with new budget?
Thank you, Very informative One question regarding the topic of working for the same employer is even better as in rules of 2023? In what way, could you explain? I understood that I would be eligible for the regime in 2023 when I would be working for the same foreign employer as in 2022. However, the employer had to open a local payroll, so my employer and myself are contributing to INPS now. I will do my own tax return. This is okay right? (If all other requirements are met)
Thx for the quick education. Curious as to whether I'm understanding the possibility of relocating and working in Italy under the Inpatriate Regime. Would it be possible for me to relocate and continue working for my current employer event though my company is not incorporated in Italy?....provided my current company is in agreement.
@esentaxa Great video, grazie. You mentioned in the video that this new rule of 2024 regarding working for the same employer is even better as in rules of 2023? In what way, could you explain? @@esentaxa Thank you for replying. With this understanding, how would local/state payroll expenses be paid. Would I then be required to submit them or work through a third party?
Thanks a lot for the video. For those already benefitting from the impatriate regime, is the +5 years confirmed if a person will have a child or purchase a house?
question..lets say if company shuts down or i get fired within the 5 years...then what happens? do i have to find another job or i have to pay back the owed tax? and if so what is the interest rate for it?
@@esentaxa okay and since i will be working with bluecard it shouldnt be too hard. what if i switch to working as remote worker in italy for foreign companies?

With the same employer "scenario" not anymore
Suppose a person passes away before the required time in Italy is complete?
