      Awww ☺️. Thank you so much for your incredibly kind comment. We definitely try not to take ourselves too seriously. Life is so much more fun with a smile on your face in a tomato in your hand. ❤️😊

    Try white potato leaf. Fantastic white. Everyone should try soldaki. Big juicy slicers. May I suggest juanne flamme, small, beautiful, very tasty and very productive. Amish salad is a wonderful above average cherry. One of my favorites along with a black cherry. Oh so many tomatoes to grow. Like you said, love them all. Purple russian. I just can't stop!

      I love all your suggestions. I haven’t tried any of them yet but they are now added to my need to have list. Keep ‘em coming. I love that you’re a tomato junkie like myself.

      This year will be double the excitement for you then. I’m starting nearly 300 new to me varieties in just a few weeks. I can’t wait to see those little baby seedlings 🌱 popping up. 😊. Thank you for watching

      It’s my favorite green one so far. I have a few new green varieties I’m trying next year. Excited to see if it can stay at the top of the list.

    Maybe you should try salting an apple! It’s great!

    • @jencordial
      @jencordial  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Oh I’ve done that before. It’s ok but I like salt on watermelon and cantaloupe more. I enjoy a bit of cheese at peanut butter with apples. 😁

      @@jencordial I have over 100 heirloom varieties and lord knows how many crosses ive done but rarely grow out. Then theres f1s I've grown backwards. That's a lot of fun to. Save hybrid seeds regrow them and look for the parentage. My latest was the hybrid cherry jolly. After regrowing it's seeds for about 4 years, that's two seasons each year for me(zone 9a) coastal. I've watched it repeat itself and give 3 different sizes. The latest was an identical appearance of the jolly but about 8 oz. Ts a gamble. Ya save seeds from each change and repeat. II've grown all the artisan series but the blush series has so many wispy vines. Your chefs hybrids looked good I have those to. I'm a big fan of open pollinated more than anything. Cause I love to share seeds. Throw them out the window or just out walking. Never know what will grow or what you might find later. Lol. If you would like to swap seeds let me know. Maters, could talk all day eat them all day and complain cause day was to short to do more with them. Here's to spring. Cheers!

      @@philortiz7519 I love your enthusiasm about tomatoes especially the part about complaining about not having enough time in the day to do more with them. You make me feel not so alone in my obsession with all of them. I haven’t done much in the way of saving hybrid seeds but it sounds very interesting and I might start my own experimenting. I would love to swap our lists of seeds to trade. Have you heard of the Facebook group tomato obsession? I did a special video about it. Or you can message me on Facebook My name is Jennifer Vandervort Cordial.

      @@jencordial Ms.Jen I was rustling through an old garden catalog this morning got to thinking I should share how I collect varieties to try cheap. I love totally tomatoes catalog, each year they have clearance seeds on order form. Way cheaper and always viable. I still order fresh seeds to but I go crazy on clearance list. Hardware stores also throw their leftover seed packs in clearance bin at discounted price as well. 4 for a dollar lots of times in November and December. Planted entire spring garden this year for 6 dollars. Lol. 8 varieties of cukes , zucchini, summer squash, carrots, beats, beans bush and pole, peas, radish winter squash and more. My wife thinks I'm crazy about tomatoes, every road trip to Missouri in spring I go into every little town feed and hardware store looking for seed racks. My first favorite find from 20 years ago was Sioux. Hard to find now. Now you find super Sioux. Not as good as sioux in my opinion. Grew seeds from it until 5 years ago when hurricane Harvey hit and lost plants of my last seeds so i am looking for them again. If your half as crazy about tomatoes as I am your going to crazy like me looking for seeds everywhere on your travels. Already waiting for new mater catalogs for next year. Growers supply quit sending catalogs out unless u pay. Sad so I rarely order from them anymore. Ibsen at tomato fest is to proud in price for me. Hoping to try renisance farms this year. Pinetree seeds are good mater seeds and so is baker creek. Will try to reach u on Facebook, I dropped out after election. Censorship is not something I want to support with anyone or company. Can't wait for spring.

      Thank you for the info on when to check for discount seeds. I purchased seeds from totally tomatoes for the first time last year. I got for the first time some hybrid tomato seeds. They did really well with germination. I can’t wait for their new catalog. I will definitely be ordering from them again. And I have ordered from Renaissance farms a couple years ago. They have some great varieties. I ordered from them a few weeks ago a pretty big order. I think around 35 new types of tomatoes. Still waiting on that order. He’s a one man show so sometimes there can be a little wait. I’m definitely going to have a hard time figuring out what to start next season. I need more garden space. 😂. Another place I like to order from is Forgotten heirlooms and Reimer seeds. I love getting your comments. Please stay in touch. I hope you can find and message me on Facebook. Looking forward to trading. Also I’m part of a Facebook group called Tomato Obsession. I think you’d love it. ❤

    I thought soldaki was deep red. Was it ripe?

    • @jencordial
      @jencordial  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes it was definitely ripe. We had quite a few all through summer that tasted the same. I grow a ton of different tomatoes. I just have some other red ones that I liked so much better than this one.

    Instead of White Queen, or other Whites - Try White Tomesol. Full rich flavor, amazingly balanced.
    soldacki? LOL never take tomato advise from a non-true tomato person.

      I’ve grown white Tomesol about 3 years ago. It was a good one. 😁
