Mike, you missed something about the Texas Edition. What engine is it? They were available at one point with a 4.3 V6 which might be a bit anemic for towing.
Hey Mike. Yes, yes, yes that Chevy would be exactly what you need and will serve you very well. My son has a2015 Silverado with just about 160,000 miles on it and it still runs like a top. Forget the VW, that's unless you want to do lots of repairs. Just saying... Jeff

In my opinion only, your repair videos like another channel are so much more entertaining. Not sure what the point of these walk arounds are as most if not all viewers will not be buying any of these vehicles. There is a reason he cant bring it in, he most likely doesn't have permission as Randy mentioned Copart doesn't like or allow people bringing jump packs into the yard anymore, so Randy had to ask the staff, Mike probably didnt bother with it.
I'd get the Chevy. Chevy is very reliable. Only thing you'd need to FOR SURE GET is the AFM delete because they are prone to lifter and valve failure. The AFM was a huge failure on those trucks. The AFM delete prevents the AFM from activating and it will save you the massive headache. Besides that? I'd for sure get it. Very good truck and I think it would be the perfect truck to do what you need to do.

I still say you should get a Smyth KIT and build an Audi pickup truck. It's more "You" than any other pickup could be. What would be really cool would be if you could build a Mercedes with a SMYTH kit but I don't think they have a Mercedes one. I know they have one for the VW Beetle and Jetta and also for Audi. It's pretty cool and it's the ONLY way for a modern Beetle to be cool. I think you could do it and get great content. Maybe they'd consider giving you a kit? I don't know how that works.
The VW Atlas is a bare bones model, without AWD? I've never seen one with that high of mileage? Normally I'd say run from those TSI engine's, since they have major carbon issues with the valves and DSG issues, but it may be worth a shot, since it looks like all highway miles? If it is not much more than $5K, I say take a chance, Mike?

The Lincoln has the 3V 5.4L Triton, those are not Ford's best effort. 2V Modulars are great, 4V Modulars are good, the 3V not so much....

My Focus has fabric seats and one little water spot stains the seat, and you have to clean and vac dry the whole seat.
