There are a lot of scenarios right now... but frankly, I like this one the best. Last night, I received a new vision- probably not anything significant to others due to it's simplicity, but I saw her walking towards the house, and as she turns onto the front step, both of us just start grinning, and when we hug one another without speaking a word, it's like a supernova of white light explodes from us. Among other things, I am an exorcist, and it looked like possession to my eyes- I can fix that, but I didn't want to believe that it was true, and I was being attacked by two different covens that were after a medical malpractice settlement I had recently received. Our styles are a bit different- she was trying to use crystals to protect herself, while I was awake almost 24/7 summoning protection and interrogating lesser gods- it was quite noisy. I know regular people don't get it- but if your life is devoted to art and magic, you can't hold yourself or your partner to whatever the current societal standards are... it simply does. not. work. We get attacked and targeted, most people think we're crazy, and in most cases, there are drugs involved (Just weed in our case, but there are others that are into much harder things.) She probably talked shit about me while she was gone, but as far as I'm concerned, what happened in hell stays in hell- we've got ascending to do, and none of that ultimately matters. Also, I'm extremely prolific, but that comes with a cost- I have a hard time focusing on managing money, networking, keeping appointments, etc. She, by contrast, is very good at those sorts of things. I showed her that I had an extra whiteboard once, and she immediately set to work turning it into a carefully arranged to-do checklist, bill schedule, appointment tracker and grocery list. I had the thing for over a year, and drew a cartoon character on it once. She's classical, and I'm free-form jazz. I told her once that artists should never give up on one another, because we're so often forced to face the world alone- and I intend to stand by that, if she'll let me. I don't really care if I'm missing out on some big money jackpot or whatever by choosing her, money and fame aren't really what I want- I'd like to be a working musician, but that doesn't always mean "international rock star-" sometimes, it just means being paid for performing gigs in local taverns. Aside from a handful of assholes, people here really have been very tolerant of and decent to me- and I do a lot of weird shit... I fail to see why I would need to leave to entertain random strangers constantly when this town has tourists pouring through it every summer. And it would certainly would be easier to raise a family if I'm not living in tour busses and hotels for half the year. She may have misunderstood me- I asked her if she'd be willing to try being my agent, and perhaps she thought I meant trying to get me signed to some major record deal. In reality, I just know that she'd have much better luck getting me slot at the county fair and playing local bars and stuff. I'm less about the song "Rockstar" than I am about something like "Bigger than the Beatles" when it comes right down to it... There's nothing saying I can't play local and broadcast global.

It was the high point of my day, and gave me a reason to keep going. There are good reasons why our connection spooked her, and I don't blame her for needing some time alone to sort it out. I don't really know what she's been doing for the past two months- we have a telepathic link, and she told me "no peekling," so I have been honoring that. Truthfully, I don't care if she did something that was less-than-great, as long as she's ready to commit fully now- the problem was never her and I, it was with third parties attacking us both.
This region is lousy with witchcraft, which I'm normally ok with, but somehow she got wound up with a particularly nasty one- and I genuinely don't believe that some of her silence and indecision near the end was entirely hers. Among other things, I am an exorcist, and it looked like possession to my eyes- I can fix that, but I didn't want to believe that it was true, and I was being attacked by two different covens that were after a medical malpractice settlement I had recently received. Our styles are a bit different- she was trying to use crystals to protect herself, while I was awake almost 24/7 summoning protection and interrogating lesser gods- it was quite noisy.
I know regular people don't get it- but if your life is devoted to art and magic, you can't hold yourself or your partner to whatever the current societal standards are... it simply does. not. work. We get attacked and targeted, most people think we're crazy, and in most cases, there are drugs involved (Just weed in our case, but there are others that are into much harder things.) She probably talked shit about me while she was gone, but as far as I'm concerned, what happened in hell stays in hell- we've got ascending to do, and none of that ultimately matters. Also, I'm extremely prolific, but that comes with a cost- I have a hard time focusing on managing money, networking, keeping appointments, etc. She, by contrast, is very good at those sorts of things. I showed her that I had an extra whiteboard once, and she immediately set to work turning it into a carefully arranged to-do checklist, bill schedule, appointment tracker and grocery list. I had the thing for over a year, and drew a cartoon character on it once. She's classical, and I'm free-form jazz.
I told her once that artists should never give up on one another, because we're so often forced to face the world alone- and I intend to stand by that, if she'll let me. I don't really care if I'm missing out on some big money jackpot or whatever by choosing her, money and fame aren't really what I want- I'd like to be a working musician, but that doesn't always mean "international rock star-" sometimes, it just means being paid for performing gigs in local taverns. Aside from a handful of assholes, people here really have been very tolerant of and decent to me- and I do a lot of weird shit... I fail to see why I would need to leave to entertain random strangers constantly when this town has tourists pouring through it every summer. And it would certainly would be easier to raise a family if I'm not living in tour busses and hotels for half the year. She may have misunderstood me- I asked her if she'd be willing to try being my agent, and perhaps she thought I meant trying to get me signed to some major record deal. In reality, I just know that she'd have much better luck getting me slot at the county fair and playing local bars and stuff. I'm less about the song "Rockstar" than I am about something like "Bigger than the Beatles" when it comes right down to it... There's nothing saying I can't play local and broadcast global.
