    How was the foot of the vase trimmed? Or it doesn't need to be trimmed at all?

    • @calebcoppock6565
      @calebcoppock6565 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Erin C I think he said he eventually flips it over and uses a tire on the potter’s wheel as a chuck to hold and support it while trimming.

      Hola. No me quedó claro, porque menciona que en la tradición coreana se utiliza "porcelain" (porcelana) que es blanca, pero luego usa la palabra "clay" (arcilla) que también puede ser blanca.. Saludos.

    Highly skilled artisan - porcelain is difficult to throw - wonderful work .... thankful there are still people actually working with their heart and hands - such a creative lifestyle - sigh .

    I do not understand …how can someone be called or considered a master when they do only the same one thing over and over again and only change the colors & design …. Chefs do not cook same meal over & over again and only change sauces …painters do not paint same thing over and over again and only change the paint colors … i get artists have niches or periods but this is not the same …. I am having issues with calling this guy a master

      I suggest you give it a try before knocking it, you can't compare potters to chefs. It takes lots and lots of experience and time to perfect One form, even if it is similar, but it's Never the same. Keep your Day job and criticism to minimum which is due to a lack of knowledge of the subject.😁

      I suggest you try get on a pottery wheel, you may find you have a quickly humbling experience, to master the moon jar you must first throw many forms, before attempting a moon jar, and he’s throwing with porcelain which is so fragile and difficult to master. That’s why so many potters throw with stoneware. Your comment shows you have little knowledge of ceramics and you’re outside your realm.
