Tanner Scott to the Yanks. I see it happening. Jazz also to the Yanks. Play him at 2b and replace Torres. He can be lead off. Scott can replace Holmes in the closer role. Move Holmes to the 7th or 8th inning spot in BP. That right there would solve a lot. Sure there are better players, but i can see us getting these two without giving up Jones of Jason (out top prospects). Other bigger players available require too much and we need to address so much. Cant just get 2 guys and solve this team. We need a lot and so we need to be smart. Get what we need. Because right now, any upgrades over certain players on our current roster would be huge. Get rid of the dead weight the best we can. Some players were stuck with, but others are not worth keeping on this roster. Our most important areas are 2b, 3b, BP/Closer and Starting pitcher. Yeah we have Verdugo issues, but the Martian is coming back. Fingers crossed he works out and delivers. But until Clark comes back, we are stuck with Nestor starting and he did NOT have a good start to post ASB. And he also cant win on the road and now... hes having issues at home. Wouldnt shock me to see him traded at the deadline. Rodon, came thru. Im shocked. I hope he can keep that up and not be Kevin Brown 2.0. Stroman, i trust him. Gil, as long as we keep an eye on him, i trust him. Cole, i think will have another good start today against the Mets, lets just hope we have a better lineup than we did last night against the Mets. That was the worst lineup of the season. But offense needs to wake up and also stop leaving runners on. We load the bases with 0 outs and manage to score nada ! Teams a mess. Wonder if the Royals take Thomas and Winker, I don't think they'll be too expensive and that immediately helps fill out spots in the OF. Playing in Kauffman they may want better defensive guys in the corners though. I could see that working for the Pirates too if they don't want to give up enough for Jazz ( and I think his best comp is prime Joc Pederson and needs a platoon righty.)
Brent Rooker to the Braves but where would he play? Ozuna is the everyday DH and Matt Olson is the 1B. What's the solution, do you just move Ozuna to the outfield?

I have a fun trade idea for you Robbie. I agree that the Rangers have a trade deadline worthy haul just coming back off of the injured list in the next few weeks. Even with the Rangers remaining in contention the one area is differ is I think CY still makes a move. Idk if it’s big or small, BUT I think a perfect option……Charlie Blackmon. Dallas Native, bottom of the lineup spark plug who can be your bench bat or alternate some DH duties. Ultimately a veteran bench bat who finally gets a chance to play for something. I’m sure he stays a career Rickie, but it could be a low cost depth bat who can provide a spark in the lineup at the bottom of the lineup
I would love for the Yankees to swing a trade with the Angels for Rengifo, Anderson and Estates or Joyce. It wouldn't be cheap, but doing that and also trading for Jazz Chisholm and Tanner Scott from Miami would fix the majority of issues the Yankees have had the last month and a half. Yankees could spend big on Skubal or Crochet, but in the end, they're better served with a less costly upgrade in Anderson for the rotation which allows them to address multiple holes. Rengifo gives the team a solid leadoff hitter in front of Soto, and Jazz could bat anywhere from cleanup to the nine hole where he would be some good speed to turnover the lineup with. I also think he's a prime "change of scenery" guy. Alternative bullpen moves could be a return to the team by Chad Green or David Robertson via trade. I also think they could pull these off and not need to trade Dominguez or Jones. Arias, Hampton, Peraza, Pereira, Beeter, Lombard Jr... Yankees have some solid trade pieces. And with the possibility that Soto leaves, I really think they're going to be very active over the next week or so.
I believe that Randy Arozarena will be a Los Angeles Dodger more than likely than Luis Robert Jr who will be traded to the Phillies. And BTW, Mike Trout for the love of god please trade him

Tigers fan here. I'm not high on trading Skubal, its gotta be a godfather trade. But one thing that's in the Tigers favor is the market, its not good for SPs. One team will get Crochett, who's the other team gonna pivot to? That's why its very possible Skubal gets traded.
Any other year if teams didn’t have major prospects that are available like the Orioles/Dodgers and weren’t as motivated to make a move, yeah I’d say hang onto him. The circumstances this time around might be too good to pass up. Good chance he stays, but with 10 mins left on the clock and the Orioles come forward with a godfather package (which they can do), you’ve gotta listen and really pause.
I’d be really disapointed if the Twins traded for a depth SP. I don’t think they need one as they have Varland, Festa, Dobnak, Matthew’s all sitting in AAA ready to eat innings if they really have to If the Twins make any move at the deadline, I’d want a front end SP that can start a playoff game, or else I don’t think any move they make helps them in the post season at all Lopez/Ober/Ryan/WoodsRichardson is not a post season rotation and I don’t know why they’d bother buying if they don’t have a roster that can win it all

Then also slowly Spencer strider back in next season. Reid Deitmers and Kevin Pillar would be nice additions especially with their past with the braves. (Braves originally drafted Reid out of high school). Zach Eflin and Randy Arozarena with their postseason history
The thing I don’t understand abt Vlad and guys like him is that Vlad is a top 30 player in the league, yet has very little trade value, like the odds of a prospect being a top 30 player that isn’t like a Junior Caminero or a Jackson Holliday is kinda small, so why wouldn’t they be able to get a decent amount for him, I understand the positional adjustments and the money but still it doesn’t seem right

For example, if they want to acquire a player that’s projected to produce $24M of Field Value (3.0 fWAR), but then also have to pay him $20M, they’re not going to want to pay much in terms of prospect capital. For the most part, teams don’t buy players. They buy wins, with each W costing an average of $8M. An exception to that a bit would be Ohtani. Over the next 5 seasons, he’s projected to probably get somewhere in the realm of a 4.0-5.0 fWAR for his offense and pitching, so 8.0-10.0 total. With each W worth around $8M, that’s anywhere from $64M-80M in field value while getting paid $70M a year. On top of that, he brings you plenty of marketing.
Skubal would cost a lot more than you’re acting like he would cost I think. Orioles would probably have to give up 3 of their top 4 and more, and I don’t even think the Dodgers have enough to get him

I agree… I don’t think the rangers are going to sell. Only 2.5 games out of 1st place, Chris Young is the kind of GM to go for it.
