Adjusting Hoof Angle: Bohdi at Meadow Ridge

- Equine athlete Bohdi was having a little trouble with his right front leg on tight circles. After examination and x-rays by Dr. Olivia Schroeder, VMD, the consensus on the equine care team was to lower the angle slightly and restore mediolateral balance on that hoof.
Here's a quick look at the trimming process for Bohdi and some horsemanship tips from Seth Noble and farrier Dan Helton, CJF, who was up from New Mexico working with Seth the week of filming. Thank you, Dan!

Okay, so they make the stands go high for worker comfort rather than the horse?? I wondered about that... I wish I had known before I built my stand. There was really no need to make it adjustable. lol
We always put the horses comfort first, we do also use adjustable stands because it can accommodate horses that can’t have their foot at that height
