Dan, you *really* need to play Airships: Conquer the Skies. It has everything you like. Productive early access, great developer, and creativity. You design 2D steampunk airships by placing modules and then put them into battle. Look it up on YT. Trust me, this game is AWESOME!!!!
It was a lot harder than I thought to not build a 'battle box' or to make things look nice

Why bad things? I played it, and the only complaint I would have is way too complex xD other then that quite interesting
Filip Pham I love the game, been a backer since 2014 but he is a critic and judging from how long the game has taken to come out and various other things, i bet he would have a lot to say about it.
+Strodeum The issue here being that the only reason Star Citizen has taken so long to arrive is because the developer is actually taking his time creating the game and polishing it before releasing it to the public, and I'm fairly sure Dan would recognize this.

Well the Teletubbies sun was super creepy, so a sun with eyes will definitely be creepy.
Also heating can be done through electricity it's just more efficient and more end game for the heating pipes ;)
