For some rides though, that's not what December means at all. And tbh, they could really use some love during the holiday season...

The 5th Gate at WDW should be Muppet Disneyland. It’s all of the Disneyland rides we love Haunted Mansion, PotC, Jungle Cruise, Splash Mountain, etc., but all of the animatronics are replaced with Muppets.

honestly, with how crazy it sounds, mr toad makes so much sense…in terms of most of the ride’s scenes. you don’t even have to change any of the music or scene dialogues, just decorate it to winter with some christmas elements thrown about (like decorations on the buildings, etc). it especially helps that there is actually a christmas scene in the mr toad film, and the whole wind in the willows vibe just fits the coziness that mr toads wild ride could have during winter time
Big Thunder Holiday! Rainbow Rridge could be Santa's Village, replace the front of the train with a Reindeer, snow cap the mountains and you have the Wildest Ride of the Holidays!
I think Buzz Lightyear Ranger Spin in Magic Kingdom could very easily do a Christmas overlay. Since most of the scenes include large, flat cut-outs - they could add Christmas themed large, flat cut-outs.
Matterhorn Bobsleds would make an ideal candidate for a great Holiday overlay! It’s already covered in snow! ❄️
I’d also love a Runaway Railway Christmas overlay! 🎄 😍
Mr Toad’s hell scene is for people who made the naughty list.
I would love to see a overlay for Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway as The Christmas Carol with Scrooge McDuck and Mickey. Just like how Jack takes over the Mansion. That would be awesome!
Runaway Railway could be train ride through a winter wonderland, assuming they change all the projections. That would be my #1
Maybe even base it on the Christmas/Winter specials those shorts had.

For real “The Many Adventures of Winnie The Pooh” would be perfect for a holiday overlay since it’s all about giving and celebrating!
In the 80's Disneyland did a salute to the 50s. The submarine got an overlay where a 50s ghost narrates the ride by songs. Very fun
People-mover should make more diorama areas along the route...and holiday them when applicable!!
Mission break out could switch to mission rescue Kevin Bacon and fit the guardians of the galaxy holiday lore. Plus we would get more Mantis. I need more weird bug people.
I’m not usually a fan of adding unnecessary IP but when thinking about your space mountain idea I thought of adding the characters from prep and landing. The short has a very modern/futuristic approach to santa’s methods. Lanny and Wayne could talk you through your mission. I loved those shorts so it could be a cute idea but i doubt it would be popular enough for disney to go for.
The Autopia idea really started this video out strong.
But what if they did a Haunted Autopia with jump scares for Halloween. That'd be so funnnn~
I really wish they could bring the Nightmare Before Christmas overlay to Florida. There’s been a few times I’ve gone to Magic Kingdom in the fall and winter, and as someone who would have Nightmare in their top 10 favorite Disney films, I would love the chance to experience it 👍

my favorite holiday overlay is disneyland’s storybook land canal boats!! they add little christmas trees and wreaths to all the houses. it’s so magical !!

I like the Haunted Mansion overlay, but I desperately wish it were possible to ride the regular ride until the day after Halloween.
Every year on November 17th there is a Life Day celebration in Galaxy's Edge. There's carols and merch! You need to experience it!
I hoping for a mention of Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy. It was the main reason I got my annual pass, but then the late night Halloween event got moved to California Adventure and Ghost Galaxy has never come back.
I would love it if they brought back the Country Bear Christmas Special
Yes! on Mr. Toads! I would love if they made an animated short about Mr. toads mania. He goes wild over Christmas! He starts collecting everything Christmas but he ultimately wants the shiny star in the sky. The star being the blue fairy from Pinocchio. It would tie in every Disney character and every character's Christmas. In the end Mr. toad gets a wish and for the first time it's not a selfish one. He wishes everyone happy holidays. the short would inspire the decorations for the ride. Except in the ride it's the middle ground when he is obsessed with Christmas.

Soarin could also totally work as like a Santa Sleigh Ride. Spiderman, mayhaps, where you have to shoot elf bots instead of Spiderbots??? Radiator Spring Racers should have some holiday decor since... the outside of Radiator Springs has it, and it's pretty weird to ha e 2 versions of the buildings that don't match. Philharmagic??? And last but not least, put the star back on top of the Matterhorn

Maybe Roger Rabbit's Cartoon spin, have the toons celebrate Christmas in their own wacky way with comically exaggerated ornaments and silly toys and all sorts of things, have it so the weasels are trying to steal all the presents in toontown and it's up to the rider to help Roger Rabbit and Jessica help get them all back

I am here for the entertaining video and don't have much of an opinion but I feel like "I don't know throw a santa in there" will be my default response to any question about decoration this holiday season 🎅

I remember visiting Disney world during December and on Christmas day and it was the only Jingle Cruise that had the holiday overlay when I went.
They actually have a little overlay on Storybook Land Canal Boats because they decorate the miniatures for Christmas!

Years ago at the Magic Kingdom in Florida they use to do a Christmas overlay for the Country Bear Jamboree. It was great and I miss it. 😢
A holiday overlay for Casey Jr. could work.
And an overlay for the Dumbo ride would be easy since you only have to put Santa hats over the circus hats.
Yeah, a RotT holiday overlay with Kylo Ren wearing a Santa hat and a red robe with white trim instead of pure black would be awesome! 😂
life day at galaxies edge has mostly been a fan run event... there have been some attempts to capitalize on it, but I think they've mainly honored George's wishes that it be burned with fire and forgotten.

Holiday overlay at mission breakout, Rocket with a Santa hat plugging in Wham’s last Christmas.
Midway Mania (Toy Story already has some holiday specials they can pull from), or WEB Slingers could be pretty easy for overlays.

I agree with all of your suggestions except one: Autopia. Other than the cost of replacing it, I honestly do not know why it hasn't been replaced at Disneyland yet.
There was an episode of the Twilight Zone where a guy became Santa... That's all I got.

I always thought that an April fools overlay would be hilarious. Like mountain where space mountain has the lights on or adapting great moments with Mr spud from the Mickey mouse shorts
Shorts before movies was a thing when I was a kid. I don't remember anyone complaining about that back then. It's interesting that would upset later generations. Times change I guess.
I was looking at the E Ticket on your wall. The booklet had maybe 5 E tickets, so painful decisions were in order. I don't regret riding the pack mules one time, though, just for the experience. I did get free ticket books the 2 years I sang (HS choir) at Disneyland's holiday show. Even cooler was seeing our celebrity narrator up close at rehearsal, Mister CARY GRANT. No rehearsal or any decent view at all of the next year's celeb narrator, Mister JIMMY STEWART. dangit! (1974-75)
The easiest add ever would be Toy Story Mania. They teased us so long ago the games are so easy to change out. Mr. Potatohead with a seasonal hat.

I’ve got ideas! Radiator springs racers: just put giant Santa hats on the cars. Hanukkah space mountain overlay: put neon Hanukkah shapes in space. Matterhorn holiday: put Santa hats on the yetis. Rocknrollercoaster: play the trans Siberian orchestra music instead of Aerosmith. Peter pans flight: paint peters outfit red. I could go on forever with just put a Santa hat on em 😂

How about Soarin' over Christmas or Soarin' over the Holidays? Mickey's Runaway Holiday Railroad? Ariel's Under the Sea Christmas? Monster's Inc Holiday Factory? Or take the old Muppet Theatre and make a holiday attraction, it could be based on almost any IP.

Honestly if Disney did the gran first tour and added Christmas declarations and played feliz Navidad at the end instead of the normal song would be epic. You wouldn’t even to really change the animation through the beginning of the ride, honestly that would be amazing

Dont know if you will read this Sir Offhand but what about tower of terror having a new years eve overlay. They marathon twilight zone every year. For like decades now. Picture an abandoned new years eve party in the queue. I think it could work and fit the holiday overlay concept.
And they DO actually Put Iddy Twismas Twees in front of the tiny houses on Storybook Land Canal Boats! It counts!

If there was an holiday overlay for both the Tower of Terror in Hollywood Studios and at Disneyland Paris, maybe Disney should take inspiration or make reference of the Twilight Zone's Christmas episode, "The Night of the Meek" (1959) or create an original story like what happens inside the Hotel during Christmas; it could be scary.
For the Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast in Tokyo Disneyland, the overlay should follow the Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas movie (1997). It's been said that this majority of the film is set within the original 1991 movie (as a bridge between the first and second half of the story) because when Enchanted Christmas begins and ends, a huge Christmas party is being held at the castle (which probably takes place X amount of time after the 1991 film) where Mrs. Potts tells a story to Chip about why the Beast didn't like Christmas initially and how Belle convinced him - in a series of flashbacks. We meet the villain Forte, who was the organist of the castle. So Disney should do something like this.

i love the idea of a autopia holiday! however i could see a problem if there was a huge christmas tree/spectacle of a decoration that made people wanna stop & look at it, and that would cause a traffic jam. i see no other reason why an overlay wouldn't be cool

Heres my overlay suggestion: Muppets 3D (Keep the original film) add in a new Muppets Holiday film, some new jokes for the in-theater effects, and it'd be possible to do Halloween as well.
I think Roger Rabbit's Car Toon Spin could easily do a Christmas overlay.

I say NONE of the rides and such need holiday overlays.
Reason: People save so much money for so long to visit a place like #Disneyland just to see Jungle Cruise or Mr. Toad and they get the chance, after waiting for so long, and the ride is shut down as work is being done, or the ride is nothing like they have been expecting.
Muppet vision 3d could change to the muppets christmas Carol overlay?
How about a TRON overlay? Change up the colors on the big mantle setpiece for which I can't remember the name and throw in some Christmas music.
