"Mongoose Pro Kevin Peraza is a familiar face in the BMX scene. Whether it's at his local park in Arizona, or at the biggest events in world, you can always count on Kevin smiling and enjoying life on and off his bicycle.
While it may look like all smiles, being a pro BMXer definitely has its challenges. Kevin has already been on over 50 flights this year getting to contests, demos, and finding places to film. When he's home he tries to balance spending time with his family, relaxing and, of course, riding his bike more.
The Mongoose ‘Heritage’ series is an intimate look behind the scenes into what makes our riders tick, the story of how they got here, and insight into their lives off the bike.
We caught Kevin in his hometown of Tucson just days before he left to compete at the X Games in Minneapolis, MN. This is the second film in our new series, produced by Human Creative / @HMNcreative"
WHAT IS OUR BMX?!
In short, we are the Ride BMX staff out on our own. We're building from the ground up and our goal is pretty simple. We want to continue what we love. We want to create great content, feature awesome riders, and contribute, push, and show why we love BMX. If this doesn’t touch you in the feels you don’t have a soul. Kevin is the happiest man ever in BMX. He has the most infectious smile. His fiancée and family are all beautiful. And his riding speaks for itself. You either win or learn. Beautiful. Rad AF!
So weird hearing Kevin talk about how meeting your hero at your local park would be the coolest thing. This one day he was at my skate park all the way in South Africa all casual and I got the chance to speak to him... Coolest guy ever and still one of my favorite athletes

I met Van Homan at the then abandon magic skatepark in PA back in about 99 or so. He was a pretty cool guy. Magic skatepark is a housing development now.
And I remember when u and Noe Came in the shop As kids back in 2005 #Chet The Jet. #LEGENDS I remember riping off the covers of expired copies of BMX magazines and handing em out to ya and other bmxers. That intro brought back some memories 15+ years later.

I got a lot in common with Kevin peraza I understand it’s hard to be yourself around people that want you follow a unorthodoxed order to keep some one else in power sometimes you just to act a little dumb be a little crazy but not a threat or what ever to the none believers keep positive people around you.
