When Taylor spoke about the song, she noted: “But it was really comforting to know that all I had to do was go home and look next door to see a perfect example of forever.” She apparently has never sung this song outside of her debut album performances, so it is not associated with any of her former boyfriends. Moreover, in So High School, she basically says that Travis has erased all the trauma associated with her past relationships and made her feel as giddy as a teenager. She also basically says that he’s the only one of her boyfriends who has ever known the “real” her. So, yeah, I would say on balance Travis won over Matty/Joe.
