Thanks Jelena and R&D team for talking about more Ireland. Andrew also started spending time to live in Ireland and have an office there too! I hope that Jelena and the team would talk about UK's Non-Dom next 🇬🇧
As always, very helpful!! Can you create a video explaining the benefits and processes for acquiring residency in the rest of the UK i.e. Scottland, England, and Norway?
Small correction regarding citizenship - you will need 5 years (not 6) of reckonable visa time to be eligible to apply for an Irish passport. You cannot have more than 4-6 weeks outside of the country in the first 4 years of your residence, and no more than 2 weeks outside of the country in a year prior to your application.
I don't think that is correct. You are allowed up to 70 days per year (including the last year prior to application), outside Ireland to still qualify.
@@AlaninValleSanLorenzo This is ever-changing actually, those were the rules when I applied. Before that, they wanted to enforce it according to the law - no absence in the year prior to the application.
You give good advice. Ireland only makes sense if you buy a house, renting is bad there, right now. Sadly their health care system seems to be terrible. I guess we get what we pay for, after all, or less (they have a private sector but it's expensive and doesn't work well, or so it seems, I only read bad things about it, even if you're willing to not use insurance and pay for whatever you need out of pocket they just don't seem to have good private clinics for certain things or they're just overwhelmed). I have to say Europe feels like a decaying Detroit on life support. And mostly due to terrible woke policies. I would surely shop around if I were wealthy. As a below average person I just have to stay put as returning to Brazil would be worse.
If those places were great we'd know. Trust me. They can only misinform people to a certain point. I keep searching and the only thing I see is you usually get less than what you pay for, with money, time, health or a combination. That's how society is able to exist, of course, but I find it quite difficult to find a "better deal" like we used to have before. The top 1% were always the top 1%, of course. But I don't believe they're watching videos on TH-cam about it. They just have people working for them, instead. On that sense having content like what this channel presents is quite convenient as we get some crumbs of free information while they get better discoverability. @@owenready7043
I'm Irish . I live in Ireland . Health care starts with diet and exercise . Doctors here are experts. Whatever you are reading about Irish health care system is wrong
I am talking about public and private health care services with quality, speed, coverage for tests, prevention, experts, pre existing and chronic conditions and you know it. @@lifesahobby
@@lifesahobbyAgreed to a point. The HSE is massively top heavy with admin and not enough medical professionals though. A newly qualified Nurse or Doctor can make much more money abroad, they don't seem truly valued here.
If your aim is to get Irish citizenship, this will not work as those years as “non-dom” don’t count as citizenship as technically you are not domiciled there. Correct?
Not correct. Your non-dom status doesn't really matter. What matters is if you were living here on a visa (they call it stamps) that is reckonable towards citizenship. Student visas, for instance, are not reckonable, work visas and probably investor visas are reckonable.
Here is an updated video which covers Ireland vs Malta's non dom programs: th-cam.com/video/ZfhCVeKQEvg/w-d-xo.htmlsi=zqUfF3kZaYjdGyM2. Our team would be happy to help you, feel free to reach out here: nomadcapitalist.com/apply/
What do you do about healthcare ? Can non dom people get the same healthcare benefits? This is something that wasn’t discussed. Otherwise what’s really the point of having this unless you’re the CEO of a major corporation.
Hi, how are you? Thank you for your contribution, does it clarify a question for me? In what situation could non-domestic status be denied or denied? In a situation where a person has investments in Brazil and sends money to Ireland to survive? 🙂
Sorry, but how do you live in Ireland without bringing any money in? You said that you can't even use your foreign credit card?....what have I missed here?
Boarders are wide open and it getting flooded by illegals. Not as bas as the USA though. Not sure why all the countries are just lettnig their countries getting swarmed. It like some Master Plan but a Plan for what!?!
What you want is to deport the non-productive recently arrived people. At least deport the biggest troublemakers, criminals, healthy people who refuse to get a job, etc. Foreigners with money will still be paying a ton of taxes through your very high VAT of 23%.
Thanks for this valuable information regarding Ireland 🇮🇪.

UK is getting rid of non-dom status soon.
As always, very helpful!! Can you create a video explaining the benefits and processes for acquiring residency in the rest of the UK i.e. Scottland, England, and Norway?
Very informative video. Keep up the good work, NC R&D team.
Thank you for your kind words! We're glad you found the video informative. 😊
If someone is accepted as a Irish resident non-dom, how many days per year must he stay in Ireland in order to maintain his residency.
A flight from East Coast USA is faster and closer to Ireland than to west coast USA.

Can an Irish passport holder with domicile elsewhere still be non domicile in Ireland?
Yes as long as you live in a residence abroad.
What I don't like about Ireland is the climate... 🌧 Maybe you can make another video about non-dom in Malta or Cyprus? 🌞
There is a reason why Ireland is associated with "forty shades of green" namely all the rain.
Is income from Northern Ireland considered "foreign" income or is there some sort of exception?
so can i have a remote job, have my bank account in the UAE where i get paid my salary, and then enjoy tax free life in ireland?
Dual Citizenship? Does that change the rules?
What if I am Irish? Do I have to leave and come back?

Can Irish citizens with no other connection to the country be considered "non dom"?
you need to have atleast a home anywhere else, or your dad

Well, it is relatively safe compared to other places in the world, but crime is on the rise and is set to get worse in the years ahead.
