Itachi is also one of my favorites. He's not just powerful, but incredibly smart. He always has some sort of way out. I wish we could have seen more of him. He was so misunderstood by his peers, yet he turned out to be the greater one in his family - not just in power. He represents the mature hero, which is rare in Naruto, since Naruto is about growth. The mature heroes pass their legacy to the less mature ones, and they learn maturity. Itachi felt the crow had to be destroyed, because it's secret was too valuable. We heard Kabuto talking about wanting to recover it, earlier. I wonder why Itachi didn't store it again, though. More Kleenex box moments (KBM's) are coming. Be prepared.
For me, the two best characters, nagato and itachi, the ones that talked no jutsu Naruto. It's a shame tho that a character like nagato had little time to shine but still he's considered one of the best villains if not the best villain in the entire series(him and madara are the best ones) and one of the best characters. And itachi, I don't need to say nothing, what a legend

Pain’s ideal relied on pain through fear, that’s the only realistic solution, and it’s proven itself even in the world of Boruto where Naruto and Sasuke keep the world and check considering how powerful they are. Itachi failed as he admitted to Sasuke when they defeated Kabuto, fact of the matter is he never thought of any actual solutions that played out, regardless of what he said or however you interpreted it.
@João Paulo look up what in the Databook? Itachi literally killed Nagato three times while Nagato absorbed Killer Bee and Naruto’s chakra and could of spammed Amaterasu if it wasn’t for Nagato being an Edo.

Nagato is absolutely op beast!! If it wasn't for Itachi saving bee and naruto, Nagato would kill both of them. And then Itachi wouldn't be able to defeat Nagato. Kabuto made a big mistake keeping Nagato & Itachi together.
It's different. Naruto sees Sasuke as a brother, the only one in the village who understood Naruto's loneliness. Even if Shikamaru is a true friend, he can't understand how terrible Naruto's childhood was.
One thing I don't understand about this episode; if Nagato ended up being sealed up by the Totsuka Blade and trapped in a "genjutsu world of drunken dreams", how in the heck could he return to Jiraiya's side in the Pure Land?
