- I Bought a Naruto SH Figuarts Figure to make a Custom Gohan SH Figuarts!
In this video I try my hands at making a custom Gohan figure from Dragon Ball Super when he wears the green tracksuit!
Using acrylic paint and mod podge to seal up the paint let me know what you think of this custom figure made from the Shippuden Naruto!

I understood when he lost some fighting skill and strength when he took a 7year gap in training from Cell to Buu but from Buu to “ResF” getting that pathetic…that was a short gap. Bad writing. Gohan should have still been so strong at that point.

If you left the yellow hair on the neck, you could have given SSJ Gohan a mullet. Great job though, the track suit looks fantastic!

Yeah! Luckily the paint and stuff was cheap. Maybe like $10 for supplies and found the figure at retail but still pricey

Its really not a bad custom. I would recommend taking it apart completely, and use a clear enamel or modge to seal it. Well done my guy. 👍
I put the mod podge on it, 2 coats but still chips at the joints a bit 😔

Glad you're getting into the customizing game. I've been customizing for a while, i dont really make videos or tutorials but i do know, for the arms and leg joints, you should definitely drop it in some 1 min and 30 second heated water in a mug or cup and just carefully but forcefully enough, remove the forearm, bicep, shoulder, thighs and calves from their respective joints. The pegs for the joints are generally rounded and ridged. Idk about the naruto figures but i'd be careful they dont break off. Super glue doesnt usually help with the material the joints are made from.
Also i was silently begging you'd utilize 18's legs for this custom. The pants and shoes are perfect for this version of Gohan

Yeah i definitely should’ve taken it apart more and sanded/painted the joints more carefully. Was kinda just a quick weekish project to see how it turned out and for my first Im happy with the result! With yalls help though I’m sure I can do em even better! One guy showed me a custom Broly he did with airbrush and everything and made me want to buy one 😬 my thing is since the figures are so expensive already it’d break me if I messed up on the custom or broke a joint or something lol
@@Wasting_Money Believe me I understand. I personally stick to one project at at time. Costly a bit but not as much as it would be judt focusing on multiple. I have one project I been focusing on for almost a year. Just making sure i get it right. Especially with my ocd, i want it to look as if its an actual release

This was kinda my first time dabbling with one! I mean if you mess up there’s not much you can do so at least it was on one of the cheapest figures. I’d even recommend just practicing on a cheap $10-$15 bootleg too! Like I may try and do the white stripes on one of those TEMU Goku’s 😂

Nice work bro. Tip for your next.. soft sand it before you paint it.. then add a matt varnish so it won't chip. But this looks gooooood though!!
So do the varnish before painting? What do you use and think the mod podge is still necessary if I do that?

Of course! And tried it out and the 3.0 head actually fits on the neck peg if you get the supper Saiyan Gohan head from gamma 1. Both that and great Saiyaman figure are high in price though 😬

You could switch out the Naruto feet and put it on the Loid body and switch his shoes out and put it on your custom gohan and a really good sculpting Clay would be Milliput or Aves Apoxie Sculpt I definitely recommend it
Yeah I’m gonna use some milliput just to put over the toes to make it look more like a tennis shoe! Should turn out alright

Yeah it’s been floating around but I hadn’t seen one yet. I think it turned out well but still working on it. I wanna skulpt the pants to go all the way down and have tennis shoes instead of the toe shoes

I was pleasantly surprised with the effects and cross arms being a $35 like you said in another comment. Most DBZ figures don’t come with any effect pieces at that price

That is a really good looking custom, a totally new figure. Too bad Gohan was washed up when he used the track suit but that doesn’t matter in figure form. Keep up the great work, love the content

I just started with my collection as it was at the time being my first vid and the channel started taking off after a few videos but my best advice is just be yourself and come up with cool ideas for finding figures, openings, reviews ect. But also make sure to stick with it! 😎

You can take the nake peg from the ssj gohan and put it in the Naruto body
I’ll try that. The Naruto one seemed like 3.0 though with two big ball pegs on each side even going into the neck part. The 2.0’s have that very little peg that goes into the neck and the ball peg up top that goes into the head. I’ll check though cause the head peg on Naruto fits 3.0 heads perfectly!

did DBZ figures go up in price, i see your videos and trunks and vegeta and same with normal goku are still around 35 dollar range, i went to buy some on amazon since my stores are empty, they are now over 50 and over. what about you guys???
Amazon is overpriced on a lot of figures unfortunetly but they will be around retail on amazon when they are fresh in stores. Since Vegeta for example is harder to find in stores now people are paying $50-$60 online for him. If I see one I don’t have for retail in stores I’ll always buy it if I can

Good idea, terrible and amateurish execution. You didnt strip any of the old paint off, no primer or finish coating. It looks terrible and that will start chipping before long. Just fyi for the future. I would do it again if i were u
Haha yeah it was my first custom and didn’t really know what I was doing really for this one. Got some good tips though! I did put mod podge on as the sealant coat which works pretty well but yeah definitely will chip at the joints since I didn’t sand them and take ‘em completely off
