This comparison of the brushes was so helpful! Love how you listed the brush number! I can’t remember them all so I like that you kept the text on screen!
I love your comment. I can’t emphasize enough how important it is when the items or ingredients “stay” on the screen. I’ve suggested that to some influencers but to no avail. I have to give a shout out to @Aliceintherabbithole for leaving her ingredients on the screen longer than most.
I loved this video! It was so informative and detailed! You didn't leave any part to wonder about or over think. You can buy a million brushes, but if you don't know where to use them or how they work best, your still going to end up with a mess! So, this really helped define what brush, where to use it and how much pressure you use to get the perfect look. I'm sure you thought about everything you explained a million times in your head, lol! I know, because at our age, you just do that. You want your message to come off clear and to the point. A really smart video for anyone whoever held a certain brush and asked "What do I do with this?" LOL. I bought a set of 50 natural brushes, some are repeats so you have extras, and I would frequently wonder what to do with a certain brush. You answered all my questions. Thank you very much, from a lady who quit wearing makeup for 20 years, and is now playing the game again!!!
I just discovered your channel. You had me at “I have arthritis”. I am in my ‘60’s but continue to enjoy makeup and beauty. Your content is extremely relevant to me. And you are also organized, to the point and clear in your delivery . Thank you!
My favorite brush by far is the 106. I use it for both powder or liquid foundation as well as blending out contour and cream blush. I also find the 204 smudge brush for the eyes to be extremely useful to smudge out eyeliner so you don’t have harsh lines. Btw, you did a great job on your makeup!!
I love the 106 for so many things - foundation, cream bronzer, cream and liquid blush, glowy primer. Until I can buy a second I have the ELF ultimate blending brush which does a similar enough job to have when the 106 is dirty or I need similar brush for different products on same day application.
This video was very helpful. I'm so glad I found you!! It's nice to hear how others are using the brushes. When I apply eyeshadow and want to remove the excess powder after dipping into the shadow, I always (gently) tap the brush head (not the side of the brush) onto the back of my hand (the left hand if you're applying with your right hand). When I do this, the excess powder will be left on the top of my hand. As I'm applying the shadow to my eyes, and I need more shadow, I'll just keep dipping back into the powder left on the top of my hand until it's gone. Repeat as needed! Think of the top of your hand as an artist's palette! This way you don't waste any eyeshadow, and it doesn't end up floating around in the air (and into your lungs!).
This was very good Bobbie. I hope Angie and Lisa see this, cause you did a great job explaining/demonstrating. It's nice their sold separately. It does make a difference, size wise regarding a small face/eyes. Thank you👍
This was a great video Bobbie ! I love makeup but I honestly didn’t know the purpose of so many different sizes and shapes ! Now I do ! Thanks you for teaching me ! 😃
Makeup brushes have always mystified me. This is the best video I have seen which explains and demonstrates brushes. Finally I have a tutorial to follow - so thorough! I now see that my brushes are a long way from ideal. Thank you❣️
Great video Bobbie ! I have the same problem with the Angie concealer brush, being that my eyes are so small. I went back to applying with my ring finger, and working it in well. I’ve been using the Angie blush brush, and it works well, but always end up going too far down with it, again because my face is small, so I’m going to use it for my powder foundation. I love all the BK brushes ! I also have some rephr brushes, but I find myself reaching for the BK way more. Have a nice weekend ! ☺️💜☺️
Love this video! It was so helpful as to help me decide what brushes I want to buy. I love all of the BK Beauty brushes that I currently have.I love the 101 and my favorite is 109. Thanks for this info!
Loved this video an boy did I need it I have a hard time with brushes and now I feel better equipped to pick the right ones for my needs, thanks Bobbi 🌟
Hi Bobbie! I have several BK Beauty brushes and love the majority of them. I use the 109 for powder blush as well as cream blush, it allows me to control where I place the blush. I’m considering purchasing a second to use for bronzer. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!🌺
My favorite BK Beauty brush is definitely the 106. It’s the only brush I take when traveling…does my stick foundation, stick bronzer and stick or cream blush. Love it so much, I have two. I do like the Angie Hot and Flashy concealer brush the most of all the concealer brushes I’ve tried. Thanks for sharing your favorites.
So glad to see this!!👏🏻🎉❤️ I've been wanting to get some, but I wasn't sure which ones... as I certainly don't need them all. 💓💓💓 so, I'm taking notes!!🥰💄💋👑💎
Wow, what a good detail video, I’m so happy about that. I’m a brush collector and I just love these one. What brush would you take to put your highlighter ? I just need highlighter in my life, lollll. Thank you so much, love your chanel. 😊
I’ve just found your channel as looking to purchase some BK beauty brushes. I have to say that although I’m not in your age group, I really enjoyed your video! So refreshing and different. You deliver your content in a fresh, realistic manner. Your bubbly personality shines through too, no fakeness, just facts about THE brushes! A very informative video, So thank you! Keep it real keep it bubbly! Love your enthusiasm. I’ve now subscribed to your channel 👍🥳Greetings from the UK 🇬🇧 👋
You are soo right about the A506. It was my first purchase & I was disappointed for the same reasons you were! Now I am holding off buying any unless I see someone else give me a credible review... & you did that for me. This was an awesome video. I do believe in Lisa, just that brush needed more bristles and needed to be slightly stiffer for the concealer application. Thanks. I now have a few of the bk beauty brushes on my wish list.
Thanks for the video, the bkbeauty brushes, they really are beautiful and their different shapes are out of the ordinary of other brushes. I really wish I could have some, but unfortunately the price is a little bit expensive. Also thank you so much for all your videos, they have served me so much to understand and make up my aunt and my mother. 🥰😃
I’m pretty new here and I am loving getting to know you! This video was so helpful. I appreciate the “how to” as well as your honest reviews!! Thanks so much!
New subscriber. This was a great video. I agree with you about these brushes. While I don’t have them all, I have the 101, which I like very much, and also the 106, which is HG for me. It is so fantastic! I think I need another one. I like it better than the 101! . I have the Hot and Flashy concealer brush, and I agree with what you said about it. I like it, ok, but like my other concealer brushes better. So, I’ll use it the way you did, and see how it goes. I just received the 107, and will try this one for bronzer and blush.
I so agree with you on the A506…it’s too big for under eyes for me too. I got one from Amazon similar to the one you have from Beauty Pie. I actually use the A506 for highlighter!
Sorry I'm watching this video so late and thank you for the helpful info. I do want to say that BK Beauty's customer service is second to none! (And the brushes are nice, too. ha ha.)
Just found your channel … you are so gorgeous and absolutely thoughtful brilliant and HONEST. I’m a new sub and look forward to exploring more of your videos ❤️
I literally have over 100 makeup brushes - the ones I reach for most are a set of 18, I got on Amazon for $12. Great brushes and they don’t shed. I no longer waste money on overpriced brushes. I used to love my Artis brushes! The BK Angie concealer brush - flower beauty has one identical for $9 and it was out long before the BK. I have found my foundation looks best when I use my fingers and finish it off with the Stans out sponge. That sponge is amazing.
@@dianehiltz1193 goodness don’t be. I’d have much rather put that money in my retirement! I would try anything I thought was going to give me a better finish. Truly, I use my fingers the most. Even my eyeshadow - I don’t buy palettes anymore. I use cream shadows because they are great for a one and done look. I use a small brush to swipe it on, but I use my fingers to smooth it out. I like the no make-up look. I can’t stand bright or bold eyeshadow with heavy black eyeliner and mascara. Not a good look on anybody IMO.
@@patti9339 Hahaha, the no makeup, makeup look is a nice one, I’m not into any makeup that makes me stand out, I much prefer a soft look with soft colours, browns, beiges etc…
Yes, that sponge is amazing. I wish I liked using my fingers. I also just finished filming a video using a $20 brush kit for eyes. I think it will also be very helpful.
Hi Bobbi. Thanks for this video. I love makeup brushes and watching videos on how people use them. I got the sigma switch for Christmas and love it. How do you clean the Switch? I can’t get between the bristles! Your advice please?
The one thing that turns me off from buying BK brushes (other than the price) is watching the ladies of TH-cam follow Lisa J's warning about not tapping the excess powder off the brushes using a hard surface. I feel if the brushes are well made, they should stand up to tapping off on whatever surface I choose. I use the edge of my wastebasket, to contain and keep some of the powder excess off every surface in my bathroom. Now, the compacts might crack when you tap on them, but that's a potential problem with any product that comes in a cheap polystyrene plastic case. On another note, Jen Phelps has just launched her own 5 brush set in collaboration with Doll 10; the set is made with smaller brush heads and is specifically designed for use with smaller facial features and smaller, deep-set, hooded eyes. My two sets just arrived yesterday and I'll give one set a good workout today. The other set is a gift for a friend whose birthday is next week, and she always complains about brushes being too big for her dainty features. Each set cost $49.00, and my order of two sets came with a couple of neat little gifts, including a sample of their very pricey mascara that has the exact kind of brush applicator I always look for. So thanks for this very timely video, Bobbie!
Just fyi, I bought that foundation brush. I used it about 4 times. I cleaned it once with baby shampoo and once with cinema secrets. The ENTIRE head of bristles fell completely out of the base. I have absolutely never seen anything like it before in my life!
For some reason, powder doesn’t work for me. It settles in my lines and makes my skin look dry. Your skin always looks good with it. Is your skin oily?
Thank you for this great video/tutorial. Can I bother you for the eyeshadow palette you have used in this video? You look stunning and hoping it will do the same for me...!
Have you tried Beauty Pie’s makeup brush (instead of BK Beauty 101?) can you tell me how often you clean that brush too? I love your videos but don’t have a lot to spend so love your drug store videos. Thank you

Thank you so much Daria. I get better control of placement with pressed powder.

For some reason, powder doesn’t work for me. It settles in my lines and makes my skin look dry. Your skin always looks good with it. Is your skin oily?
I have very dry skin in the winter and mildly in the summer. I use powder sparingly and make sure my skin is very moisturized beforehand.
Your makeup looks good today.
I’m 70 yrs old and don’t really know much about brushes and makeup applications, so thank you, maybe too late now to invest on brushes 😂

I have not tried that brush, but I have heard their other ones are good. I have only used the concealer one from them. It's amazing!
Where to buy in Australia?
Can I use these brushes with cream makeup?
I wouldn't recommend all of them for cream, but here's the ones that I think would be great: #101, 106, 110, 109, 207, 204, 203, 210
