I am so excited about the releases coming out this year. One book on my list is Harlem Rhapsody by Victoria C. Murray. It's a fictional story about the woman who sparked the Harlem Renaissance. I mean, that just makes me so happy to think about. . . . As always, I greatly appreciate your vlogs. They are so loving and gentle and inspiring. Thank you, Igho 💙
I also need to pickup Babel this year. I am excited for Kennedy Ryan and Ashley Poston. I love how they write romances as someone who doesn’t read a-lot of romances outside Fantasy-Romances
I just joined Fable (as opposed to goodreads). Similar to Goodreads, I think, but better (more contemporary, easy to use, etc.) You can have book clubs on there, which I think is super fun. Highly recommend so far.
I really appreciate your videos and your cadence for speech! So a few things: * i don't think goodreads is worth it if you haven't gotten it yet - for me I would love to leave but I have far too many books in different lists to part wiith * we have a few of the same books on our tbr list and this year I'm looking to have more fun with reading and just exploring different worlds emotions when I can and not feeling the need to force myself * I also want to read more nuanced and 'hard to read' books - I read a Toni Morrison book for the first time last year and now I made my firend and I co-read the bluest eye as a mini bookclub for 2025 and I'm really enjoying myself Once again love your videos! Happy 2025
StoryGraph is a lot better than Goodreads and you are able to export your library from Goodreads and import it into the site, so you don't have to do much of any work at all to transfer everything! I did it last year and haven't looked back.
As usual, I enjoyed this video. I cannot wait to check out the books by Sonali Dev and Naina Kumar, as I have not read any of their books yet. I highly recommend Goodreads, as I may have mentioned earlier. It will give people who may not see you on YT a change to see what you're reading, as well as expose you to another people as well. Give it a try. Thanks for sharing your most anticipated books. I look forward to your next video. Deb
I have Goodreads, but I don't like the UI. I heard it can greatly benefit Indy Authors, so I want to be more intentional about posting SOMETHING. I mainly use StoryGraph, so I’ll copy & paste. I like Fable’s UI better and was excited to use it this year until I saw people posting about how royally f***** their AI is. As for reading, I’m looking forward to Kennedy Ryan and Emily Henrey’s new books. I love it when Emily Henrey plays with the chapter titles. I love it when authors sprinkle in little details that tie into the story.
I would recommend The Storygraph over Goodreads.
I like Fable, I've never had a goodreads account

I wouldn't get goodreads but storygraph might be worth it if you like to see stats about how you read
