That particular optical effect of the woodgrain is known as "Chatoyance"....this is a great TT, better than most sub-$1000 units on the market today....excellent restoration job !
Absolutely wonderful look on it. Did you polished the wheel by machine? What equipment and polishing compound did you use to get it like a chrome/mirror look?
@@seinfeld714 Did you do it buy hand or like a tool with a buffre on it? I have a realistic Lab 420 that has 4 rows of dots. So it be harder than the pioneer dots thats only one.
@@tonysvinyl2214 you can try a very fine scotch pad and then lightly polish by hand I spent hours on some of them its time consuming And really not much monetary return if your keeping it I would do it if your selling it dont bother they dont care either way
Hello Sir, I would very much like to have a custom turntable like this. Your work is spot on and this 570 is breath taking. If your services are available to the public, please contact me at you convenience to discuss price and such. Thanks and God Bless.
Many of the Pioneer turntables that have the wood look are actually plywood or MDF with a vinyl covering but some people who are good at woodworking, recover them with real wood veneer like this gentleman has done here. If done right, they look way better than original.
