    Buttons !!Always!! get stuck or need to get replaced. Also ridiculous you have to set the daily operating speed through all cycles to max to properly get enough flow for a HAYWARD heater to work lol. I'm blown away all the great minds at Hayward found that the button was the absolute go to for these pumps. Must've replaced 30 of the buttons last year and had to reprogram almost every pump that had a heater a the same company's heater. Thanks for the service call money!

      It’s the EPA and the DOE that have put the regulations into place, manufacturers are doing their best to stay compliant while still offering the cheapest and most simple solutions.

    For pool heater to work u need 40 gallons a minute so it has to be on a decent rpm for that to happen

    I currently have a mechanical time clock still in place. What happens to my programing when the clock shuts off. My objective here is to have the pump only on for 6 hrs at full speed. I hope you can help answer this as no support line for a hayward tech.

    There is a six minute delay if you put the timer box off for service or any other reason. Once you put the timer for the pump back on it takes six mins to go on if you have all the intervals set up properly

    when I finished the programming cycle (held the interval 3 button for 4 seconds) it did not revert the speed back to the faster speed I selected for interval 1. Am I missing somehting? What am I supposed to do.

    I have a Hayward XE and I can’t get the programming to stay reoccurring. It is saved but after it runs the first cycle it doesn’t start again instead the water pressure just gets very very low showing on the water that comes down from the spa into the pool. The filter has been checked and there are no blockages. The bubbler works on a lower speed bug still worlds What can I do to fix this issue?

    I think I'm just going to rely on my timer to shut the thing off and stop messing with this interval crap!
    I think it slipped somehow, and now it's almost NEVER running, and my pool's going constantly going yellow to green.

      Yes, you can save a lot using the lower speeds. But depends on what other equipment you have (such as SWG and Heater) determines how low you can go. I save over 60% from using a single speed pump in electric cost.

    Can a Super Pump XE be connected to an external timer? Once the unit gets power, does it run or do you need to press a button?

    • @mohammadrahman9258
      @mohammadrahman9258 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey…so I have an Intermatic external timer setup with my Hayward super pump xe. The timer is setup to start at 8A and turn off at 8P. When the power turns on / off at the configured time, the pump too will turn on / off. The only thing I can’t seem to figure out is if the interval settings I’ve configured within the Hayward pump keeps its settings when the power is turned off or does it default back to its factory settings which is run at 50% for all three intervals. I’m hoping the moderator here can help answer that question as I’ve been unable to get an answer directly from Hayward’s customer service.

      It works great. With omni to power off on a schedule, when power comes back on it goes back to interval 1. 500 buck cheaper than a vsp. Also a great choice to replace a single speed pump with out automation. Its cheaper and you get builtin automation in a way. Super quiet too.
