how about instead of a manhole its Interceptor box and going to manhole? should also RD in IB?

Yes RD is actually hotizontal distance which is required for slope calculation

@@civillogy i see.. how bout the second manhole in the video sir? they both have same Invert elevation?, the inlet and outlet

What do you mean by RD

      Reduce distance

A map has a scale of 1:200. An existing sewer at point A is to be continued to point B and the
map distance between these two points is 16 cm. If the existing invert level at A is 50.20m and
B is at a falling gradient of 1 in 40, calculate:
    i.
the invert level of point B.
    ii.
the FS reading that the engineer should read in order to set out point B if an HPC
    of 51.00m has been established
Can you please assist me?? 🙏🙏🙏🙏

      yes sure.
But your question is not clear,if the distance between point A & B ia 16 cm then there will no much difference between their levels.
anyhow it will be 50.2-(0.025x0.16)=50.196m=invert level at B.
ii. FS depends on your HI.

@@civillogy please i was given Falling Gradient why don't you used it in the solution?
