  • Chatham Dockyard host the Festival of Steam 21st April 2019. One of the attractions is the Steampunk Village. Steampunk combines the look of the Victorian age with the future.
Here you will find people let their creative sides exude all sorts of fun ideas. It is a world where anything goes. Fairies abound, valves, sparks and bulbs illuminate, and even the odd Pirate or two appears.
Many thanks to all that appeared in this video.
Main track music used here is by Victor and the Bully - Monotony. Please visit their Facebook page. A thank you to them for giving me permission to use their music.
This part of the event was hosted by the Great Kentspectations Steampunk group. Please visit their Facebook page too.
Video made by me, Laurie Calvert, aka Cornelius Cato Chuddery.

I know all about, Steam Punk, My only regret, is that I didn't learn about it, earlier,.. then, 2010. I could have had so much, more time, to make more fabulous costumes. This year, I am entering 4 jackets in the Arizona State Fair. Can't wait. Getting them ready for the event, tomorrow. I ve got 26 photographs, 4 jackets, and a Victorian Collection, I m so excited,..! I just can't, hide it,..! Hoping to win, big, this year,..!!!!

Yes it was a fun day. Steampunk is a sci-fi blend of the Victorian age with the future. A very imaginative world where anything goes. Cheers, Laurie.

It is also fine, to see that a steam train takes part in something actual- The train is not just a museum piece to show something about times long passed, it takes part of an actual event playing it´s roie in a modern subculture! That´s different.

Thanks David. To be fair I have only concentrated on the Steampunk Village here but there is lots going on, so the trains were just running as they normally do. Fairground rides, classic cars etc. Here is a link, not that I'm expecting you to travel from Canada: thedockyard.co.uk/whats-on/festival-of-steam-transport/
