I live in Colorado and we have several homeless people in my area. Winter came fast and it gets so cold out here. The greatest change I’ve made. I stopped focusing on my sad sob story of my past. I began realizing how blessed I was. I’ve gotten to know these less fortunate people. Helping out these people have been a blessing to me. Kindness has replaced sadness. Appreciation for what I have and no longer crying about what I don’t have. When I’m feeling sorry for myself, I drive around my neighborhood and go by Bulk hamburgers and fries and hand them out to who ever is out there. Last night, I took my friend to Walmart on a shopping spree. Warm clothes, a sleeping bag, some food. Last night my friend slept really well. Kindness comes in all forms, a dollar, a cup of coffee, a meal, a smile, saying hello, treating people with dignity.
