BRICS countries could create a joint ‘reserve currency as an alternative to the US dollar’, said the economist.

Excelente entrevista! Estimular a desdolarização e outras possibilidades de sistemas de pagamento parece ser fundamental pra fugir dessa armadilha que os EUA montaram pra controlar o sistema financeiro.
The dollar has made us middle class poorer by continuously being in debt _ debt to buy shelter, debt to buy transportation, basic things we took for granted. I dont think anyone wants to live in debt. We want to save and buy, not have to be tied at the ankle even for making our personal choices
I love in Russia. 95% of people are “not” in debt and it's shameful to use credit cards. We all get rewards points using debit cards. it's the complete opposite. AMERICA it's supposed to be the land of the free but really you're all slaves to the Western financial debt system.

The current SWIFT system is based on old techonolgy and costs too much to transact for international trade.
There is addictional 5~8% cost per transaction, which goes to US government.
Imagine Brazil sells its corns to Argentina, Nigeria sells Banana to Niger, Vietnam sells its fish to Combodia, all these transactions has nothing to do with USD et they will be charged accordingly, and wait few days for money to be received after converting in/from USD twice.
Its too expensive and old school.
The world can do better than that.
BRICS don‘t need a new currency, but a new and better mechanism to transacted for international trade.
The new Block Chain System will work, quick and easy, and cheap to operated.
Although new currency is not needed, but at least one or two important currency should be present as an anchor currncy (reserve currency) where different countries can park their assets for future transaction.
I would suggest Chinese, Russian, UAE and Brazil‘s currencies be anchor currency in BRICS system.
Obviously, Chinese RMB would be the best as Reserve Currency in BRICS system.
China is currently the biggest trading partner to 140 countries in the world, and top 3 countries for rest of 54 countries. Including US, EU, Japan and S.Korea.
If you earn extra foreign surplus, its logical to have RMB as reserves because you can pay China for goods you buy in the future.
The country should use RMB loans from BRICS banks (New Development Bank), because you can pay back after selling Agriculture and Mineral to China, and they will pay you in RMB, so you can pay your loans.
And China has almost 3 trillion USD assets, they can pay your country in USD if you insist on it. China loves to get rid of their USD assets anyway. 😁😁
