You go from being iron man, to slowly decreasing the ability of absorbing punches, and that's when the big neuro+hormonals problems start. I highly recommend fighters to learn as much as possible to dodge / block punches and kicks....if you wanna live healthy when you grow older.

The more damage you absorb to the brain, tearing the connective tissue that keeps it firmly in place, the closer you come to having a bad case of CTE. Hope he does willingly taking punches and kicks to the face because I'd hate to see his career cut short.
