9 Ways to Use Filters Creatively // Dannysound Multimode Ladder Filter

  • While it’s common for classic circuits to be reused, cloned and emulated it’s not as often we see them expanded on. So I was excited to see that Dannysound’s Eurorack filter module takes a classic filter design and expands it in several ways. The Multimode Ladder Filter is based on the 1960s classic Moog transistor based low pass ladder filter design but it expands it by being multimode (with added band pass and high pass), it adds level control to clean up or further saturate the filter, features additional CV control with attenuation and compensates for the lost low end at higher resonance settings which is a characteristic found in the original Moog filter.
    This video is a demo of the module as well a tutorial offering 9 patches for pushing your filtering creatively. Try these in your systems and leave a comment letting me know how you get on.
    Patreon supporters have access to a PDF patchbook further outlining the ‘patching accents’ section of this video. So if you’d like a full patch breakdown, patch diagrams and explanations that explore the exact modules used but also the general concepts head to the link to join the community and gain access to exclusive content. bit.ly/DK-patreon

    I haven't watched one of your videos for a while. The video quality, the shot selection, the careful dressing of the patch cabled really brings a lot of value to the viewers... and the sponsor. All of that comes at a cost and it's appreciated.

      No worries, they did a bit of a soft update to the module when it went SMD and assembled. Welcome additions as I'm a fan of saturation anywhere I can get it! :)

    • @DivKid
      @DivKid  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      plants in my case? I've been all about organic matter where life not only grows but flourishes. The majesty that imparts on the stability of my clocks, the tone of filters and depth of my FX is unreal.
      Joking aside I have plants around, I like poking fun at things and a bit of silliness.
