Welcome to my channel. My locs are officially two years old. My babies were born on February 18, 2017. I started out with 91 locs but I know have 40 locs. I’ve only retwist three times but I quickly transitioned to semifreeforming. My journey has been refreshing and beautiful and I would LOVE for you to join me as this journey continues.

Your locs are so beautiful I actually cried. Well, my eyes welled up with water anyway, but no teardrops! 😂 Thee are the kind of locs I love to see. I’ve just started my loc journey THREE DAYS AGO! This is more like what I would like to see with my hair though I am much older with fine thin hair so it will be my hair’s version. But truly beautiful. It was your wedding photo that got me.

Yeah u don’t want it to get dry and brittle and break off, I washed mine the second week I got them and they were fine

So I Want To Start Mines This Way. Two Strand Twist & Leave It Alone. Do you use any special rinses?
Bren York pretty much! I tried re-twisting a couple of times but my locs wasn’t with it and I didn’t like doing it. You can start with twist or you can freeform but either way leaving your locs alone you will see them flourish.
No special rinses I wash my locs when needed and do a ACV (apple cider vinegar rinse) when necessary.

Courtney Jordan I don’t think it would be hard to comb out. It may take a while to comb out though. Check out JoyceMD channel she has videos talking about combing out her locs and NaturalNirvana video “Watch Me Comb Out My Locs”. Hope this helps 💜

How was the installation process though?
tj Tanner it was simple. I started on stretched washed and conditioned hair, no parting just pulled pieces of my hair to the size I wanted and started twisting. I made sure my hair was combed out.

i'm kinda worried about my hair now. Cause i started two strand twist last month and this month it already looks like hers at the end lol. only a few remaining in the front look like twist.
When did you hair start locking
K E L L L ummm I don’t remember exactly, but if I had to guess, I would say after I hit 5 months I started noticing the twist slowly form into locs.

Your locs are the ideal locs, so gorgeous. I went through all the questions but I didn't find what I was looking for. Very important: Did you use any oil or gel on your two strand twist to keep them together? Or did you put something maybe after the washing before blowing them out? Or everything simply happened on dry hair? Thanx for sharing your journey.
Barbara Viento your comment came right on time. I just recorded a video about the beginning stages of my journey. I blow dried, I believe I used some type of moisturizer to twist, I can’t remember what exactly, oiled my scalp and that was it. Hopes this helps beautiful ❤️
Did you start these on blown out hair ? I feel like mine suck. I’m five months in. I have some budding but they aren’t thickening up. They look thin especially at the tips. I’m so over it. I do t want thin or sparse locs. I wanted thick locs. I’m thinking about starting over. Ugh.
Simone Smith hey love. Yes I started on blown out hair. I’m sorry you are experiencing a lil turbulence in your journey now, as time goes by your babies will flourish. Everybody’s journey has a different flow but I allowed my babies to develop on there own which allowed my roots and locs to grow together making them thick. If you feel you want to start over, do what you feel is necessary for your hair love. 💜

My new growth looks like I’m free forming. My hair just won’t loc at the roots.
That’s how it was for me at first too. My roots look like it was everywhere but after while it slowly came together. I still got some loose friends here and there but I let them be.

Adrianna G I don’t do anything. I just let them separate naturally. You don’t have to do that if that’s not how you want to maintain his locs.

Hunny I couldn’t even tell you lol. If I had to guess it was probably around 50ish. My locs pretty much connected themselves. I didn’t do anything so I wasn’t really paying attention to how many I just know I had more when I hit 2 yrs vs now.
