Same. To be honest time traveling adds a competitive edge to animal crossing that really doesn’t fit the theme of AC. The point is to take it slow! That’s what the game is designed for. (But if you find enjoyment by TTing that’s fine too!)
Thanks for showing the slow route :) This is what I am doing--I like having daily goals that are also progress, not just a checklist of chores. I will be taking this slow, and spending a lot of time in the DLC to try to earn/unlock that furniture and features. There is plenty to do in the game without rushing through it. And hey, after a year and a half of playing off and on, I bred my first red rose today that might eventually produce a blue rose. So that's going well! I think the Beautiful Island Ordinance is helping

i've been time traveling, but its actually how i got so into the game. i spent literally hundreds of hours trading with people last year until i completely sucked the game dry for me at over 650 hours. i'm still time traveling for this update, but i also bought the dlc which i know will give me a lot more hours into the game anyway, ESPECIALLY with the design options that are currently locked behind it. no shade towards you, just sharing my perspective. :)
The game was LITERALLY designed to be played however the user wants, not "daily for an hour or so." You can always spot tares masquerading as wheat when they flop out their arbitrary dogmas and wave em about.
Youre like those tares that say, "I agree what you're saying, but I don't actually agree with what you're saying." They so call agree with u when your points buries theirs underground, and then they proceed to literally NOT agree with u when they start speaking, while making it all sound like you're both on the same page. At the end of the day you're left with their flag flying high while yours is "glossed over" rejected and disposed of. That's one of the ways u can spot Demons when they're interacting with u. Tares, fallen angels, unclean spirits, demons etc etc are just different tags for the same persons. They're literally just perverse persons without a body.

It's interesting that this time around I'm more fast pace and time traveling to get certain things like Lief, Redd and Kicks shops atleast. When i first played I never time traveled unless it was villager hunting. Over time I just felt like time traveling felt better for me in specific situations. I guess this is how I like the play the game🙂❤️ Love this game even more and it's definitely helped my burnout after 750+ hours into my file.
The 2.0 update makes me glad that my aunt has parental controls keeping me from time travelling. Experiencing everything day by day is such an amazing way to play.
I am not time-traveling through this update and very thankful to have creators I can watch without seeing too much or getting overwhelmed! I want to take my time and enjoy this last big update and can't really deal with the videos trying to show every single new thing within the first few hours of release lol. Thank you for the content!

It’s nice to see that you’re taking the time with the update and not rushing into it like the other creators. It’s very refreshing. Also, when you walked up to the cabinet in Nooks Crannies and said “and…I have no money” I really felt that. That’s a struggle I face nearly every day 😂
The first time around, I didn’t time travel at all until everything was unlocked. But the only time I really TT is when I’m moving buildings or creating bridges/inclines. But pretty much I just pace myself in the game. Especially this being the last major update… yeah I’m going to take my time and let the surprises unfold. Plus, the world is somewhat open again and we’re not on lockdown anymore 😅
Enjoying the slower pace streams. I was watching others speed streaming and started feeling overwhelmed and full of anxiety. Thanks Ryan for taking it slow...it also helps eliminate misinformation. 😉

For watering, the golden can will water the row you stand on along with two rows in front of you. So I wouldn't recommend standing on the edge, because it might make you miss the row furthest from you and water the row behind you instead.
I'm taking my time as well but I can see why others would time travel to unlock things faster. There is so much to explore that day by day is going to be fun.

TH-cam literally exploded with videos of the 2.0 update on November 3rd while I was asleep (for living in Scandinavia). I haven't even touched the game in a few days, and when I do, I plan to do the same as you and take things slow. I'm in no rush!

I didn’t start HHP until last night (11/7/21), and I’ve only done one house. Harv’s island only has two merchants and I’m not even close to getting even half the new items.
As I was watching this video I was roller skating down my street it's a calm and quiet street it's pretty hidden. Out of nowhere this motorcycle was blaring down my road and they were slowing down when they were like a foot away. I jumped to the right (a driveway that was filled with rocks) and yea! I also bumped my head on a tree 👍
I hit every rock for resources, shake and then chop down every tree, collect every weed and fish and bug hunt until my pockets are filled on every island I visit. There are plenty of gold nuggets on Kapp'n islands but you need to wack the rocks until they are empty as the nuggets are rarely the first one out.
Taking my sweet time. My kids are currently obsessed with the exercises at town hall so they're not fussed we have to wait to open the roost 😁❤ please have a wonderful time!
I time traveled once because I had no idea about how to update Harv’s island with the collective. I did Katrina first instead of Leif, so I made the very painful decision to time travel a day to unlock Leif, but I then time traveled back to current time. I also forgot it meant the museum went into construction, but it’s cool. I have no intention of doing it again. I really like taking my time as well.
The only reason why I’ve been time traveling is for growing the new crops and getting all of the trailers and stuff on Harvs island. I also time traveled for Brewster but I always go back to the few days before! But before the update, I would always be time traveling and I wouldn’t just take the game in as it came but now, I have barely time traveled for anything other than the things I listed! I’m so glad that other people aren’t just rushing in and playing it out and then get bored again. This game and update wasn’t designed for that! Everyone plays differently though and i’m very happy that you respect that :)) I’m still experiencing the update and I love it so much. My island isn’t finished yet and I have A LOT to do but I was honestly waiting to do things like decorating my house, and finishing my island with all of the new items until the update came out! Personally, I do not have the DLC yet which i’m kinda bummed out on but Im not going to spoil it for myself by looking at twitter or anything. I want to have that excitement when I get it and not know what is already going to happen for every second of the DLC.
I started my game again after 1 years 3 months last week when I saw the direct announcing 2.0 - and so glad that I did. I went a bit ham with my first day because I got obsessed with gyroids, but I do plan on taking it slow from here on out and enjoying what the update has to offer!

The special rocks you're referring to (or the ones I believe you're referring to) only appear on special islands. Ahem, think different time of day islands. Also, if you press B repeatedly while taking a trip with Kapp'n, it will actually skip the song and lead you to the island he immediately. He does also have other songs to sing, this was just unfortunate I suppose.

I started playing acnh when it came out. I still have no finished my first island 😢 I constantly change things until I'm satisfied with it. I don't think I'll ever restart my island. Too much work and time has gone into it. I've also been taking my time with things. No time travel unless I'm playing at night and want it to be daylight. Otherwise, I don't travel forward or backwards a day.
I was aggressively time travelling yesterday but that was because I had to re-buy a Switch and start a brand new island, and I'm not 3-star yet so I can't get a bunch of the new stuff ;w;
Yh the harvs island stuffs so expensive I have to choose who I can afford first. Leif is my first then the alpacas. I'm trying to go slow but know many time travelling for stuff but I don't like messing with the days on my switch so I go slow
I usually to play vanilla but since I didn’t play at all in October and missed lymans second bday with me on the 12th, I went back and tt about 4-5 times since the update. Playin daily again :)

Just change your time zone. In that way you can enjoy some daylight while having the clock synchronized. I usually move my timezone a couple places to enjoy some daylight playing in the evening.
I don't wanna talk shit about people rushing to get everything in the update and dlc, but personally? The fun of all that is doing what you can each day without time travel. I don't want this to be over in two days.
I’m always rushing and it ain’t ever for the updates, I have no time to wait for my bridges and inclines to be built or for my orders to come the next day 😫 (I rush so much to get my island how I want it to look that I don’t even realise I’ve unlocked everything in the updates lol)

To get the ABD at Harv’s you have to set up at least one trailer/shop and it should appear when the trailer/shop is ready!

I went to a new island and it was a money tree island
I started playing acnh when it came out. I still have no finished my first island 😢 I constantly change things until I'm satisfied with it. I don't think I'll ever restart my island. Too much work and time has gone into it. I've also been taking my time with things. No time travel unless I'm playing at night and want it to be daylight. Otherwise, I don't travel forward or backwards a day.
I was aggressively time travelling yesterday but that was because I had to re-buy a Switch and start a brand new island, and I'm not 3-star yet so I can't get a bunch of the new stuff ;w;

Yh the harvs island stuffs so expensive I have to choose who I can afford first. Leif is my first then the alpacas. I'm trying to go slow but know many time travelling for stuff but I don't like messing with the days on my switch so I go slow

I usually to play vanilla but since I didn’t play at all in October and missed lymans second bday with me on the 12th, I went back and tt about 4-5 times since the update. Playin daily again :)

Just change your time zone. In that way you can enjoy some daylight while having the clock synchronized. I usually move my timezone a couple places to enjoy some daylight playing in the evening.
At least it’s only 10k to move your villagers now

I believe you have to manually place the abd. It was metioned that you were going to be able to obtain one.

I don't wanna talk shit about people rushing to get everything in the update and dlc, but personally? The fun of all that is doing what you can each day without time travel. I don't want this to be over in two days.
I’m always rushing and it ain’t ever for the updates, I have no time to wait for my bridges and inclines to be built or for my orders to come the next day 😫 (I rush so much to get my island how I want it to look that I don’t even realise I’ve unlocked everything in the updates lol)

i am really lucky that i am extremely poor in animal crossing cause i can take my time and slowly work my way through the update especially on harv's island

You can get gyroids on you’re island I got gyroids off my own island well 1 but still I only have 2 so yere

I timetraveled abit until I got my favourite new hairstyle from Hariet and unlock Reese+Cyrus and Leaf.
I wish I could enjoy that update its not working there's no options to go work at the airport
