The point you said about ganking mid heroes to prevent them snowballing out of control also applies to every hero, but as you know opportunities to gank heroes are not always the same every game, sometimes you'd have to stay on lane to help your struggling offlaner and sometimes you coming to mid lane doesn't really help because tinker is actually a good laner too even against other mid heroes, and tinker having great spell that could negate all right click damage for 3 secs at lv 1 doesn't help. And rest assured that i have never even attempted to play the games that you mentioned might suit my tastes. Removing buy back for tinker might actually solve this issue.

You get rewarded for your skill as it should be. If he was easy to play everyone would play it and have 90% winrate. There is a reason his pickrate is 6% and he has 53% winrate. What comes to a Tinker 'baiting' with a buyback in late game that is totally absurd and shows you are misunderstanding the hero or you have not played with or against people who are good on it. You play Tinker to win, alone if you have to. You come to a fight or start a fight blow one or two targets up tp back to base come back and repeat, you permapush a lane in with shivas and kill whoever comes to farm it while getting 600 gpm clearing two creepwaves and two jungle camps, 900 gpm if you kill them.
I did a support tinker with greaves. Lol worked like a charm team was mad since we were getting destroyed early enemy even took t3 mid then I got greaves and was able to turn around.

Both he played really good and opponent didn't consider bashes or stuns were necessary didn't expect Tinker to pop up that much. They got on top of him multiple times but he bkb tp'ed right in front of their face if they had bash things could have been diffrent. Defense matrix also gives him status resistance so the stun time or hex time will be short also you have to commit for the kill it will cause you to go out of position for a hero like terrorblade and theres a monkey king there
