I’ll admit I miss some aspects of public school. I’m in private, and although there are some positives about it, certain things just aren’t the same. I don’t get normal blocks of time to get general studies done. My day is split in half with religious studies, which I don’t teach. Plus my room is shared with that other teacher, so it never truly feels like “my room.” I come in a bit later. But school ends much later…too long.
What if they start whining that they don’t want to write or they don’t know what to write, even thought they have those hearts done, that’s what a student or two of mine would say . How do you handle it?
I encourage them to put things they love in the hearts and that motivates them to write a little more! They’re more likely to be eager to write about something they picked instead of a given prompt. I also let my students draw sketches and label them first. Reluctant writers could be more okay with drawing their thoughts and then labeling it gives them confidence when they start their sentences!
Do you remember where you got your write pencil posters in your writing center? Love them
Awesome

Make a longer Vlog please when you can I would really love that?
Hi. Do you have a video up about your slides and how you create them and how you use slides throughout the day?
This is on my list to film this summer!!
Great video ☺️. How did you get the Colgate box?
I filled out a form on their website back in January!
Love the bed activity….can you add a link? Sorry if I missed it.
