    Wow what great ideas & techniques. I especially like the stencil & how these powders make quick work of achieving foolproof galaxy backgrounds.

    Lovely ideas Leo, thank you. You can also put clear texture paste through a stencil on acetate, add your powders, then very lightly spray water. I'm looking forward to Nuvo Embellishment Mousse ideas. I'm having a black phase and been gilding die cuts and embossed card, and got a great patina recipe. I've been spraying what's left on my craft mat with water and pressing and dragging cardstock into it, it gives the most amazing dendritic effects, I've used it for sea and glacial effects. Then if you wrap your inky binky round the jar, it makes the best baron for your stamp press! Also, if you gild the high spots of an embossed piece, you can go in with a dark ink with a stippling brush for the low spots, and it resists. I've also got some nice backgrounds, after stencilling, spray with water and press between 2 more sheets of cardstock and send through your die cutting machine preferably with a silicon mat. There must be so much more you can do with that stuff, and there's hardly any ideas out there, and none of them that thoughtful, so there's a challenge for you! I got all mine out with the specific job of using them up, as I'd had them ages and felt like I'd wasted my money, but ended up buying more! ❤

    YES I LOVE SHIMMER POWER ❤️❤️❤️ I own everyone including the new ivory willow. I made a shimmer spray of my own with the new ivory willow and it's so amazing 😍. I wanted to spray everything with it but I can't. Theses are so fun and yes messy to play with. Brilliant product it makes me feel happy every time I use it. Thanks for the video I want more please ☺️

    These shimmer powders are so gorgeous! They are very like Lindy’s Magicals of which I have tons! The only Nuvo ones I have are from the craft kits. I shall apply these ideas to my Magicals also. I especially liked the stencil technique! TYFS ❤️🦋💜

      Hi there Elizabeth, glad you enjoyed the video! I'll take the question about glitter misters and see if we can add that to a future craft clinic for you. Keep an eye out for updates on that!

    hmm, I wonder if it would work with acetate? I will give that a try and let you know. Lots of good info here. I will go to Tonic's site to see all the colors. Maybe a Wednesday or Weekend bundle will be in the near future (she says with hope in her voice).

      I did try on acetate, using hairspray and clear lacquer to activate and stick the powder, neither of which were particularly successful unfortunately! I think if you spritzed the powder with water to activate it, it would just run off the acetate so there'd be nothing left to dry on the surface!

    What if you mixed it with gloss or matte medium? It might make for an interesting final finish.

    Can you do this on both sides of the paper ?

    • @craftyleotonic
      @craftyleotonic 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't see why not, as long as you allowed it to fully dry in between applications. I've never done it myself though! If you do try it, let us know how you get on!

    Could you use water colour card

    • @craftyleotonic
      @craftyleotonic 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Dawn, yes, you can absolutely use watercolour card, and will get a different result as it absorbs and moves the water differently! I absolutely recommend trying the powders on any different types of cardstock you have, to see what different effects you get with them.
